Started off with Indian Auto & Auto India. Moved to BSM & Overdrive (when they were full strength). Now I always pick up BSM & Top Gear cause I prefer their style of writing. Do read ACI as well but dont buy it. To me the OD content isnt really unbiased which is why I stopped reading it.

Nowadays a lot of mags fail to point out shortcomings in their main test drives but bring it up in later smaller articles. For example when the A Star was released hardly any mag pointed out the glaringly tiny boot. But they all agreed that it was a fun to drive car with compact dimensions that were perfect for city use. A couple of months down the line the excuse for a boot found a mention in a couple of mags.

Reading Auto magazines for me started with the Auto India magazine, & once the Editor changed I stopped buying that magazine & picked up Autocar India. Today the scene is such that I have subscribed to Auotcar Inda, Bike India, Overdrive, Topgear & if the issues are good I also buy BS Motoring & Zigwheels too. I had a very good collection until about some years ago, when we had to shift our residence to rebuild it. All the collection was sold off to a SCRAP Dealer, for a few Hundred rupees. It hurts to sell them, but what to do at times got to get practical too.

+100!! Been reading them since age 13. So I'm obviously hooked for life!

^gd76: Similar story here dude. Had to sell off my collection due to space issues.

Used to buy them regularly till a few months back......one till I was a student.....3-4 every month since I started working.......

Lately found my interest fading in these.....Internet is a much better place.....Also now I find the International Edition of These Magazines much more informative and entertaining...BIKE, RIDE, TWO etc.........who wants to read about the new Discover 100/125/150.....and these are quite costly and difficult to obtain as printed magazines....

P.S. I remember eagerly collecting Posters from the mags....sometimes the decision to buy was made by that only......

I subscribe to Overdrive, Autocar and Bike India , even though I am currently in New Zeland (delivered to my house in india). I read them all when I come home for holidays. Call me crazy but I havent sold or disposed off a single book i have purchased. I have an entire collection of Overdrive an Bike India since they started, (bearing a couple). Auto car, i guess i started in 2003 or 2004.
