How to lift heavy bike after a spill....

But for Bulleteer it's funny to visualize Bulleteer picking up Bullet by facing away from his ride

Jokes apart, Really good article, quality comments too.

          nice one (the information)

apart from a ninja/220/r15 or similar bikes which automatically cut off the engine if the other street bikes are considered (i dont know if anyone else has noticed) the engine keeps running at most times. And its dangerous to lift the bike straightaway.

Please mention to switch off the bike before lifting it up (which is common sense but you know its not common)

Also you could add that video for others reference.
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

Depending on the nature on why you are picking up the bike at the first place. It is equally important to pull aside and take a moment to inspect you bike to see if everything is okay, instead of zooming off.

Saying cause I've personally seen a guy in a signal when the lights turned green, he revved hard and did a wheelie which unfortunately didn't perhaps go as planned. He splattered all over and other traffic had to take evasive maneuver. This guy, in a flash picked himself up, double revved the engine furiously and off he went blazing, apparently embarrassed. I was hoping his brakes hasn't got damaged and his throttle didn't get stucked at that point.

              Works for Me...!!!!

This technique actually worked ....it was just a couple of days back when my bike was resting on its side stand and i was standing with a slight butt touched to it from the left side and merily talking over the phone when suddenly i started to feel the bike getting heavy and leaning on me...then i realized the bike falling on my legs...i had to put my phone on the ground and then i suddenly remembered about this technique and since i was in that same position just gave it a try and picked it up in one go...and found that the side stand had given up and sorry to say but cheap bajaj parts the side stand looked as if someone had teared it apart from just below the bolt which fixes it to the bike....

Hmmm dont blame bajaj or any brand for it , usually all of us will leave bike parked in side stand, and most of the times other people sit on the bikes in this position which will make it worse.

And btw i succesfully lifted my bike from ground not using this technique , but from other side , after effects : i still have pain in my wrists

i didnt judge the weight of the bike i thought it was light in one go i pulled it and half way through it stopped i didnt let go off the bike which even worsened it

Just wondering is anything wrong (or right ) with me or my bike. Twice i ran out of fuel and had to literally drop my CBZ to get that extra ounce to reach nearest petrol bunk Both the time i lifted my bike easily facing it.

A nice tip though, especially while lifting heavier bikes.

@bluevolt. Thank you for the info, very useful ...I once dropped my CBR250R and when I tried to pick it up front facing , it was just too much for me to do. Luckily had friends with me at that time.
