neons consume almost the same power as an ordinary fluorescent lamp.

Hi guys, was planning to change my cbz-x 2011 flash circuit to digital one so that it supports LED's and hence save some power. is there any Indian bike with electronic flasher circuit which i can just buy and place it in my ride or will i have to design 1 myself ?

        Regards

LED indicator flashers are quite rare in India. Solder 10W resistor in parallel to the whole LED setup in each indicator unit. Now you get 10W indicator units. Swap the 21W unit (assuming its 21W in CBZ, correct me if wrong) with FZ or R15. You can save half the power now without much hassle

ok will give it a try,wat about connecting a small turn indicator buzzer (if i recall it correctly) instead of 10W resistor ?? wont it serve the purpose ?? how much current will it draw then ?

why with R15/FZ unit ?? wont that LED setup work in my ride??

will definitely give it a try soon . Thanx mate!!!

Hi, Indian bikes dont have LED flasher. LED Flasher itself is difficult to find in india, (have see in on foreign sites only).
                Check my post http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/do-yours...rs-activa.html
I have installed it on my activa, working great for the past 5 months.
                Hope it helps.

Hi Raneet! I am Ritesh, from Kolkata. I own a Pulsar 135LS and would like to install a setup similar to the one on your P220. Can u please help me out? Where did u buy the LED pilot lamps from? Wellington? I did not buy yet as I'm scared they might turn out to be of inferior quality. If possible and if ur time permits,I would like to meet u and discuss about this. Thanks. Awesome work and DIY explanations btw!

With the green LEDs,the CBZ looks a lot like the Tron bike. Amazing! Adds a lot of Oomph to the bike! Keep up the good work!

Wats the power for FZ/R15's unit ? I observed they got small bulbs for indicators, probably of 5w. Any idea bout the price for this unit ?

Each indicator, along with the bulb, cost Rs.120-150.

Will the headlamp of Maruti Swift or Hyundai i20 (12v 60/55w H4 U) work perfectly in place of the standard one(35w) in Pulsar 135 LS? If not, what are the mods needed?

i believe those are more than 5w. our stock pilot lamps are 5watts each however i am not sure...

                              those are 10w each

                              NO
                              1. your stock wiring would cause too much power loss, you won't get 100% brightness
                              2. it'll drain your battery very fast as your charging rate is arnd 5A max, for 55/60W, you need atleast 7~8A (max.)

                              suggested mods:
rewind + APE RR + separate wiring with relay for H/L.
