okay.. so many questions to answer..Originally posted by Omid Adab View Post@ Raneet
Liked the terminator modd... i wanted to ask 2 things:
1) how many leds you used and where did you stick them, top or sides.. and with wat did you stick it with
2) since you mentioned that you have now applied an HID kit.... wont the temp of the HID affect the LED strips
and u mentioned that open the headlight.... u didnt actually open the headlight you just inserted the led from the low beam socket na

why didnt you tray RGB strip... ppl hav 1 color terminator eye one cud hav unlimited color terminator eye
as you said you connected the led to the parking lights means that led are on while hid is

1) I attached one strip with 4 SMDs on it on the lower side of the reflector.. strips itself come with a sticky bottom..
:P
2) Its a must to use heat proof/fire proof cables or wires. SMD strips don't get burnt that easy. Its the cable/wire that does.
To stick the strip inside the low beam you have to open the headlight. Else you can't. Its too congested.
RGB strip is not really available here..
yes completely possible..Originally posted by jude.manutd View PostIs this possible for the RTR 180 non abs, would really like to do it,the stocks ones aren't that bright. Is it the same plug and play for the apache??

LED mods for the CBZ Classic ??
Hey guys !
I really appreciate the DIYs discussed here. I ain't a techie or should I say a 'mechie' in these mods department. But, I would like to begin with my first soon!
I have a CBZ Classic 2001 model. Company Painted blue color. (My profile pic shows my baby - TurboKat! ). No fancy stuff yet , with the exception of a 110/90 rear zapper Q.
What are the possible LED styling for my beast - only white and blue colors strictly?
All suggestions, comments and opinions are welcome !
Cheers !Once a biker, alwayz a biker !!

yes it can be done, if the resistance value is properly selected.Originally posted by jude.manutd View PostCan it be done on the stock settings of the apache without converting it to full DC??Its the fusion of a two wheeled machine & a human being which creates a true biker.

the basic idea should be to show the lighting effect and not shoe the led directly. the place most common on all bikes are:Originally posted by CBZ View PostHey guys !

you mean open the headlight seals or jst the back screws of the lower beam

1) 3528 (small but many leds in the strip), they use low current
2) 5050( bigger and more brighter led),they use more current..
which one did you use
and did you go for any winding of stator??running a 220

Just open the back side where the bulb is fitted and pass the LED from that area.Originally posted by Omid Adab View Post+ there are two types of leds

You can use either of the strips, but the 3528 lasts longer. Less prone to get fuzed I mean.
Bro, an LED strip consumes extremely low current. Stator rewind for LED strips? Are you kidding me?

Problem installing LEDs
Hi raneet,
I wanted to do a Licence Plate illumination mod on my HH Hunk 2008. I took out the bulb(that illuminates licence plate) and connected LED Strip to it.
Surprisingly, nothing glowed. KI don't know the reason but I tested the voltage on it using multimeter at it came out to be 7 Volt instead of 12 V.
Then to test the LEDs , i connected them directly to the bike's battery(actually 12.67V) and again, no glow.
Then I decided to test it again using a DC adaptor(12.44 V and 100 mA), but again no results.
Can you please elaborate more on this ?
And also, in LED strips, we have two lines(I mean current carrying copper lines), so does it make any difference to connect the wires to the alternate ends if lines or to one end only as shown in the pic? I guess there should not be any difference

We want to see the final output..
Did you interchange the polarity and try? Also did you try with another strip?Originally posted by sarav.sandhu View PostHi raneet,

Yes, I did change the polarity too but no results. I haven't tried another LED strip but the one I'm using was sold to me by the shopkeeper after testing it in front of me and it did glow at that time. The LED strip is from 3M(it's the original one) and i don't know where i went wrong.Originally posted by Raneet View PostDid you interchange the polarity and try? Also did you try with another strip?

Probably somehow it got damaged. That's why I buy it in foot or meters. Helps.Originally posted by sarav.sandhu View PostYes, I did change the polarity too but no results.
