hi guys, search for "Tusk 12 V Power Socket", i bought one last year in June for my Leh trip. It was perfect fit on the handle bar, no jugaad and is very useful. i don't remember exactly how much i paid for it but it was Rs. 600 or may be Rs. 350 not sure though. I bought it on ebay and it came from UK shipping free. i ill try to get a pic with it and post it for your reference.

        Re: Installing phone charger

I tried browsing the website ideaforge.in but could not find the charger. Is there anyways where we could do this on Avenger 200?

          Re: Installing phone charger

          Yes it's very very easy.

I was getting bored at friends place in Hyderabad.
Just done with setting up Mobile Charger in my Pulsar 220.

Connection done along with the Number-plate Bulb.

So it will be ON only when we switch on the parking light (that is connected to backlight + Number plate light).

Hardly 10min from opening bike parts to charger setting & packing up seat.

          Items needed worth 200-250bucks.

I'll write a post along with pics soon once I reach mumbai tomorrow eve.

            Re: Installing phone charger

People gimme some time for the proper and full post.

I was finding some more things to make it more reliable because Bike wiring + Mobile both are to be taken care off and we can't let them burn with over heat.

But now lost all my Bike's documents so running here to get the FIR thing and all.
I'll post it once I'll be free of all these hassles.

                Re: Installing phone charger

Guys this is my first post in this thread
I own an R15V2 and I bought the cigarette charger to install in my bike. I have a query that how will I connect it to the ignition where it works only when the key is put? I have connected it to direct DC as of now where it can be used even without putting the key?

                Thanks in advance
                Cheers!!!!

Name is "tusk 12 V power socket"
Bought it for 7.6💲(dollars) from eBay.com, inclusive of shipping.

Direct fitment, connected to ignition by electrician.

This one i was using in my bullet for more than a year, very useful in my ladhak trip last year. I bought a new one and fixed in my bullet and installed the old one from my bullet to this impulse.

A reliable and good power bank will cost you 1000/- +, However these Sockets/Chargers are much cheaper and your Bike's battery can charge your phone may be more than 50 times :P

I also have a bullet and want to fix similar charger. From your pic it is not clear where you have connected. Plz post details
Also, if i want to take a connection from fuse chamber, so that the charger will be activated only when i switch on the ignition, where should that be from?
                          Thanks in advance.

Install Mobile Charging Socket on RE Classic 350 !

Hi guys, Just added one mobile charging socket to my Classic 350. Earlier also I had a mobile charging solution, However this i added for other accessories.

Below are some pictures for reference, Connection is very easy, Just connect +ve of battery to the Red Wire and Connect black wire to the body of bike. Fuse is inbuilt in the Mobile charger socket and is fully Insulated.

Take a good quality wire from the positive terminal of battery to the tool box or to the place you would like to install charger. I used wire Finolex and used a clip to attach it to the battery, Clip looks like below and is avalaible at any electrical shop.

Connect black wire to the body of the bike, Here i opened a bolt of tool box and using same clip connected the wire to the body.

Not to mention the charger is working fine and there is no Electrical leak, I checked the fuse and it is working fine.

The charger i bought is from TVS Service center as told by Hulbatte and it costed me 160 Rs/- The good thing about the charger is, It is solid made and no wires or terminals are loose which can cause shorting issue.
