Do not user Deisel on the Ruber parts that makes it stif and you will lose your chain. best way is to use kerosine or may be use petrol

My way of cleaning the Chain

I clean the chain of my Unicorn periodically.

I prefer to use Diesel because its less stinky than Petrol, Kerosene(horrible). But if there is a lot of dirt, mixture of petrol and diesel is preferred. After cleaning with diesel I spray water on the chain and diesel will be washed out. So I believe the chains with rubber O rings can also be cleaned like this. A 10 minute contact with diesel will cause no harm to the rubber.

Takes max 30~45 minutes and the results will be amazing.

i use the same method to clean the chain and then i spray TVS TRUE 4 chain lube which goes on for around 400 - 500 kms .

i also use diesel to clean my bikes chain. after cleaning it i put some engen oil on it

You fitted the chain link lock wrong. The cut on it should face backwards (Not in the direction of chain travel)

There is a separate thread for sprockets in Universal threads section

. look for it. As per my knowledge it's the ratio between no. of teeth you have on two sprockets you should change.

I too had a similar noise issue after around 5-6days of usage after cleaning, just apply a little bit more grease (both on inner & outer side of the chain) that should solve the noise issue within 10 - 20kms of riding.

Put grease on 5 - 6 inches of the chain, then leave the next 5-6inches empty, then again repeat greasing. This will evenly spread to the whole chain, when in motion.

I cleaned Chain again with this method and applied Castrol grease and it started again to make noise what should i put oil and grease?

Leave the bike for a couple of hours after you clean the chain (also make sure you use a cloth/rag to remove excess cleaner) especially when using kerosine, if you are not already doing this. This way the chain will be dry before you apply the grease/lube. Also cleaning while the chain is warm (not hot) is a good idea, easily removes gunk. Grunge Brush is a perfect tool for the job, tooth brushes work just fine (more work).

You only need to apply the grease on the inside of the chain and a little on the sides. Take the bike for a spin (slower speeds), when the chain runs, the grease from inside will be pushed to the outside, if you use Lube let the bike sit for sometime for the lube to set in. Stuff applied on the outside will end up flinging all over the place and won't help much. I would use a chain lube if you can get hold of one.

Can the gear oil which is made for trucks and cars be used for lubricating the chain? Its mentioned "GL-4 90" on the container and its from castrol?

Right. It is the recommended chain lubricant by honda and most other bike makers as well as the chain manufacturers . Grade is sae90 / ep90 .
GL4 is the newish API(american petroleum association) classification(name) for manual transmission oil or what we call gear oil .

Yes it can be used,
the Gl-4 90 is new variant of Castrol EP 90.
It is a SAE 90 gear oil.

Diesel doesn't dry easily from the chain unlike kerosene.

just now i cleaned the chain and rear sprocket .. i wasnt able to open the front sprocket cover as dont have the right too..
it was fun..
