Hello friends, i am about to leave for leh on 20th june on my loved 2007 discover dtsi 125. Its all ac powered as u know. I am willing to add a mobile charger on it for troublefree usage of phone. Any diy help u can provide. As i dont have time to convert it to all dc. Bike is fully serviced and tyres, chain set and airfilter are changed to face the pressure. Please help me...

Yes it has, hence I said in my OP that I'm unsure if it would help. But you could still take out some pointers.

I'm looking for a DIY on honda twister/Dream Yuga Valve clearance adjustments, cant find it in this forum. I fuond one for RTR 180 and have details of Unicorn but the engine seems to be different from Unicorn in Twister/DY.
Anybody can help with this ?

Got a second hand r15 20p1 2008 ran abt 24k kms, it was a bit shitty, almost restored it to factory conditions now, so it was pretty much DIY for me (mech engineer 3rd year).

so far so good...
Adjusted Tappets, painted discs, changed spark plugs, cleaned tank, replaced bent fork and cap bolts, changed fork oil and seals ,greased the race bearings, changed coolant and engine oil, cleaned the sprocket set front and rear and the cush drive damper, cleaned injectors and thermostat, replaced air filter , painted exhaust cover , set fz mud guard on swing arm for rains and a 'sanmayka' below the engine drain bolt section which is open. Let the 'kichad' come.

I read a request for handlebar overhauls few pages back, i will be making one pretty soon, as soon as I get time from college. I am going to paint those black, and the upper triple.

I have request to show how to disassemble the throttle body out so that it can be cleaned. I can do it myself but am too lazy, a bit of overview of what goes where and how would be appreciated or eventually i will have to make one.

I had done this recently. but didn't click any pics. I had removed the air box which I found a pain in the ASS, I think the TB can be removed by just unbolting the air box, though working space is a little tight that side, otherwise the procedure is fairly straight forward and should be done within 15 k km's I guess, tell tail signs of a fouled TB are high or erratic idle meaning the butterfly will not close properly, or poor acceleration, meaning the butterfly will not open fully. You will be surprised how just a little build up of gunk can affect the performance of the TB.

I would like to request a DIY on how to do general servicing on a scooter ( Oil change, filter change etc. ). I am studying in a college which has a garage so the tools should not be a problem. Consumables can be bought in advance. The particular scooter is the new Honda Dio ( Non HET : if that makes a difference ).

Request to all Jupiter Owners to post pics or procedure of the following if they DIY or see a mechanic doing it:

1) Opening and accessing the battery


2) Opening and replacing the Pilot Twin Lamps

3) Opening and replacing the Horn

I want to know the above three procedures.


I have a TVS Jupiter with front and rear steel guards, and also had owned a scooty in the past wherein i did lot of DIY with it, since i live in flat now wherein i cant spend much time in the garage or outside fiddling with my new bike, and i dont trust the mechanics shoddy job, i would like to know how much time will it take for each of the above procedures. Assume that i have got a full fledged tool box which I already have and all i have to know is the procedure so that i can quickly go with the specfic tools and do the job.
