Lately I have found the solution to the Problem related to Engine oil depletion in All Air cooled Pulsars.
the Problem being that within 200~300 Km ride my bike Pulsar 150 DTSI UG3 was gulping oil upto 250ml, every now and then I had to top-up the
engine oil to maintain minimum oil level.
I tried to find the Main reason behind the oil depletion as My bike at 65400km on ODO, has the Third Bore+piston Kit because of the same reason, every time I used to take the Bike to mechanic or BASS I was asked to replace the Bore+piston Kit which I did promptly, but still issue persisted even after bore changes, clutch/carb adjustments.
every time I replaced the Bore kit there was No white smoke from exhaust, only slight drop in pickup which was due to worn out clutch.
I tried to spot any physical leaks in the Engine but there were no leaks what so ever.
Finally A week back got the doubt that the presence of some oil in filter box is the reason behind the Rapid oil depletion, the Hot oil is being ingested by the intake vacuum in the Air filter box through the pipe connected from crank case to the air filter box.
this is the pipe connection.
After digging internet with the problem in hand, found the solution of having a restricted orifice/valve in between crank case and filter box will reduce the oil consumption.
this is the Fixed orifice PCV valve used in cars.
As I found the solution, started searching for this valve everywhere but couldn't find it.
so I improvised and after doing some Jugaad, found a Brass gas connector Drilled a 3mm hole through it and connected the fitting by splicing the connector Hose.
fix in my bike
After this fix, Rode for 750 Kms and voila till now no Oil drop what so ever
.Im sharing this info here because like me there are many other bikers who are afraid to go for a long ride without carrying the topup oil, this is the fix for the problem.
