I actually wear 41~42 size shoes generally, but I've heard that for precise gear shifts you need a smaller size of riding boots.
I also have thinner calf so i just need to try on before i decide, can i try them on anywhere in mumbai ?

That's not a corect assumption. In fact, a smaller size boot will be very uncomfortable for walking let alone riding a bike.
Try out a 42 at one of the Mumbai stores listed at this link

I went to the mumbai dealer yesterday, he had a white pair of size 44 on display, he didn't even asked me what size i wanted and straightaway told me to come there next week to get my size.

However i wanted to try 42 size in black.

I am sorry to say but honestly that dealer seemed completely uninterested in either selling me the shoes as well as the helmet, most of the times he ignored me as if i am not there at all even though I was the only customer in the shop. I have currently bought boots as well as the helmet from some other brand paying more than twice the money on both and got more than twice the level of satisfaction.
I would like you guys to do something about it...
