My vote goes for the Pulsar 200NS, though it was a pretty tough competition between the Duke 200 and the Pulsar 200 NS, almost 50:50. Yet a saving of around 30K with almost similar power output and my previous experience of owning a Pulsar tilted it in the favor of 200NS.

Price is a small consideration for this choice:
      Please provide the other requirements:
      a. The guy's Physique.
      b. Usage scenario: for office commuting, long rides, lone rider or have pillion in most times
      c. New rider or experienced already.

These [and more] factors should decide what motorcycle to buy rather than price.
I bought a RTR 180 ABS since I am a lone rider, use it for office and weekend long trips. I was a new rider, so selected with ABS motorcycle and rather on the lighter side of the scale so chose RTR[138 KGs].

I would think twice before putting my money on the KTM Duke. International styling and quality at our doorsteps, more over my reason of picking it over the Pulsar 200NS would be the extra BHP, Radical Console, USD, FI and fat tyres

since the bracket is till 1.3 only..within that range I would have stuck with a Street bike more than a sports
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

My vote goes for ZMA-R. Being an old horse, its still in the race without any upgradation. The bulletproof engine speaks of it. The torqey engine is easy in city traffic as it is smooth on a highway. The new players(Duke, NS, CBR150, R15 V2 etc.) are god machines but yet to prove their durabilty.

The R15 V2.0 gets my vote here. Because of its performance, great handling, good riding feel and overall build quality.

YZF-R15. the amount of ride confidence this bike gives is phenomenal.

I think there is significant difference in naked, semi faired and faired bikes dynamics and ride quality, which definitely can't not be judged/segmented just by price margins. for me the poll is vague and wouldn't give the realistic output intended.

My choice is the 200NS cuz i've done extensive research on both bikes, i.e., 200NS vs Duke 200..

                        1. 200NS is cheaper in terms of Price, Mileage, Maintenance..
                        2. It has very similar performance..
                        3. It has way better mileage!!
                        4. Its an indian bike, made for indian roads!! No bike, dirt bike or not, can beat that.. :P
                        5. It's a Bajaj.. So that means serviceable pretty much anywhere, within a short while of course.. Not right now, maybe..

I have an Avenger 200, 2 and a half years old, no problems whatsoever, so i can personally vouch for a Bajaj bike..

Best of all, it's Made in India!!! :P

If you wanna buy a foreign make, then you shouldn't be buying it at this range at all.. Dig deeper into your pockets and get a better bike.. Duke isn't worth it.. And i feel it looks horrible.. It will suit only certain people of certain built and attitude.. Otherwise some people look really weird on it.. And mileage sucks as far as i've heard (as compared to 200NS only! not the others!).. If you have the money to burn, like i said, again... Go for a better bike.. No offense to anyone who owns it.. It's my view and a few others as well..

But i do have to say, that the build quality of the Duke is not to be messed with.. And handling is off the charts! Other than that, nothing more.. If you're an accident prone person, i say Go For It! It's the best machine to play around with.. :P
Bajaj Avenger 200 (2 years later, still as good as new!!) ;)

Well pointed... Even in FB post, its 1.3K...
Sunil sir, It should be 130K...

                            Anyways, coming to my vote...
I recently bought my bike starting the search for one with the same budget, and found all these bikes...

                            1. Apache.. My favorite and would have been my unanimous choice if not for the new design!
                            2. Fz/Fz-S.. I kinda like to tour a lot, and so avoided naked versions
                            3. Fazer.. TD it., It struggled a lot to reach speeds beyond ~90kmph, so felt like on highways may pose a disadvantage
                            4. Karzima R/ZMR.. Liked both these machines, but what if they stop/upgrade it after me buying, cause, it already happened with my laptop and mobile once, don't want that to happen again at-least not with my first bike! <natural feelings>
                            5. Duke 200.. You all are pointing out to Duke, and well most of you are from cities. But for a guy from a town, far from a metro.., after buying a duke, if something goes wrong... where would I go??
                            6. 220/200NS.. No offence to the bike, brand or owners.., but from a long time back, am not a great fan of pulsar series..

So, I was left with 2 options, R15V2 and CBR150... the latter felt more blended with my build., so went with it..!
And you know what, My vote goes to, ZMR, honestly I liked the bike a lot!!
The limiter kicks in @11,500 rpm just within a second after the first shift..And, that's where the fun begins !! ;)
