How Old Were You When You Learned To Ride Geared 2 Wheeler

I was eleven years old (Class 5) when i rode the first geared 2 wheeler..It was a Kinetic Spark (moped with gears ). My first 100CC+ was in class 8th @ age 14 (Kawasaki KB 100)

I know i was underage and thats not the right age to start riding but the childhood excitement was beyond compare to any sane thinking process

I was 9 when I first rode my Uncle's Hero Puch (2 gears) alone all the way to the Airport&back. All my family members were very scared, coz I hadn't informed them of course, but I made it back safe!

I was 9. I took my Uncle's Hero Puch (2 geared) all the way to the Airport alone. My family was in great fear, but I somehow made it back safe&sound!

I didn't know how to ride a bike when I bought my amby.. I was 17 then.. I spent the night staring at the ceiling not knowing what to do. I was very terrified of the consequences and such.. At 3 in the morning, I snuck out of the house and dragged the bike to the main road.

I tried again..followed the protocol..This time I gave too much throttle and the bike went flying.. somehow I was able to control and brought the bike down..tried again.. and again till I was able to ride her comfortably in third gear..

In the morning,My mum was pleasently surprised to see me going out on my bike...

That, friends, was my first tryst with any bike...

i rode my dads cd100 when i was 12yrs old. he soon sold it off when he saw me riding (learning to ride) it.

I started riding a TVS Champ when I was 13 years old. Graduated to my dad's Kinetic-Honda when I was 14. Simultaneously started riding Scooters and M-80's. Ended up wheeling the Chetak and crashing it. Tried a Rajdoot(175cc) and rode for around 10 kms in 1st and 2nd gear when I was 16(did not know how to use 3rd as the bike kept switching off when slotted to 3rd). Started riding 100cc YBX, CD100, Splendor around the same time. The first proper bike I got was mu Pulsar 150V1 when I was 21. This was when I had my first encounter with an SBK. Rode a 97-98 model R1 for around a km. My first encounter with a car was an Ambassador powered with an Isuzu engine when I was 17.[Mods if u don't want this here, tell me and I will make necessary changes.]
