How Old Were You When You Learned To Ride Geared 2 Wheeler

I guess I was in the 8th standard so I was 13 and a half... I was one of the first people in my class who knew to ride a geared bike! The forst geared bike I rode was a RX 100, then I started riding my dad's splendor...

My first ride was on a hero honda cd 100 when i was 12...

But when i was 6-7 years old my dad used to let me wring the throttle of his bajaj super when i used to pester him for storybooks... of course he used to put it in first gear and used to control the scooter by holding the clutch.. i always used to wonder why the scooter never went fast !!!!!

i was 17yrs old (i only had a learner's license for ungeared two wheeler). it was my own Hero Puch. we just bought it at the show room was straight given to me to ride home and everybody left for their work. that was the first time i was riding a geared bike all on my own. but somehow i conquered it ( yes really.. it was difficult to engage gears even for experienced) and got it home mostly riding in 2nd gear. i miss it a lot

I was 13 when i started - My dad's great green Bajaj Chetak (1989 ) model .

Was an awesome experience moving around fast & that too with out pedaling .. Ha ha still remember those days . Used to ride when my dad was not around and mom used to allow as she always had to depend on me to get some stuff from shops . That's it pour mom - don't know how much i have bugged her for those rides .

then an year after tat i rode my frnds p150 and now i ride my p220

My first nongear bike is kinetic honda. Took a ride wen i was 16. It was my neighbours. Then I learn on max 100. At the age of 23, at my final yr of B.E. It was my roomies bike. I always eager to ride but as I was nt havin bike with me or at home, i was reluctant to start of.
It was during project time in final yr; my partner was having eye prb. Still he was riding wen evr we used to come late night college campus from nearest city. I felt bad. and started to learn. It took a day.

Did nt ride much aftr tht..till next 3 yrs. thn one fine day I gt a prized bike, called r15. My own bike frm my sal. It was like best moment of life . A machine I always asked for. It took 20 mins to get used to.

Sometime success taste bttr wen it comes little later, but with ur own effort? Is nt it?

Learnt to ride when i was 19. Unfortunately i learnt it after i got my DL for an ungeared bike. Damn!!. It was my close friend's Uni (awesome learner's bike). I used to keep trying but just couldn't get the clutch right. Finally got it one fine day and rode it for around 15 min. After that rode almost all bikes from 100cc till 223cc.

And the worst part about that ride is i didnt knew how to stop a scooter
