How Old Were You When You Learned To Ride Geared 2 Wheeler

I was 15 years old,started off with Pulsar 1'st edition,I am 18 years now just three years

11 Years started with Yamaha RX-135,100 and then RD,then scooter and then Bajaj Discover...

I was 12 years old...Modified Yamaha Rx100...and the second 2 wheel thing I drove was a Bajaj Chetak...

he he he.... a Bajaj Chetak that jumps (a semi-wheelie) in 1st and 2nd gears and even in 3rd of there's no pillion... got a chance during my summer holidays after 9th standard. Year 1993, age 14 years.

Was riding a TVS 50 for few years before that and rode the Kinetic Hondas by then Rode uncle's Rajdhoot a few times while he took care of gear shift sitting pillion

First geared bike that i rode by myself was Yamaha RX 100 at the age of 21...
I am sure thats pretty late compared to all others in this community ..!!
I didn't know then that RX100 has always been one of the best bikes available in India..
Da bike belonged to my friend from Engg Coll ...
I told him ...wanna learn to ride the bike ..he was pretty cool with that ..told me the controls ..gear pattern ..and said ..go ahead ..."ALONE...."

I told to myself ..this is something big ...lets see what happens ...
So ..I started off ...didn't have much problem while launching the bike ...
I was told to ride the bike in the first gear itself ...
...All went fine till the time I had to take a turn...

I slowed down ...n bike bandh pad gayi ..

Starting the bike was way ahead ...coz I was struggling to get the bike back to neutral ...n never succeeded that day ..." Kudos to the ..one down rest up gear pattern" ..
I kept on trying my luck ...while all the girls all the girls talking a walk were giving very sweet smile to me ...
Well .. no prize for guessing that they wanted to burst out laughing..!!
After around 20 mins my friend saw me struggling ...he had to walk down for my rescue ..

The experience was quite hilarious ...will always remain in my memories...

n strangely enough ..both the bikes that i now own have the "one down rest up gear pattern.. !!"

i was 16 when i learned to ridea bike it was a tvs victor. now i own a pulsar 200. but even now i have that same victor with me.i have a soft corner towards that bike since it was my first ride
