      • So many young riders

I was 12 when I started driving on a Kawasaki 4s champion. Now I am 27 its been quiet a journey with many bikes.. I still remember those days my dad used to sell and buy new/second hand bikes almost all the brands from the Bullets to the Bajaj's .. the funny thing was he was not a bike broker or a reseller . As far as I remember the current pulsar 150 dts-i he is using might be his 24th bike. I have always been using geared 2 wheelers, non geared vehicles is just childs play ....

        • well my dad didn't allow me to ride before i had a learner's license.....so at 18 i first drove a bike and that was The Bullet STD 350----yeah the first and only bike i have ridden , even i was surprised that i was able to handle it easily though it was my first vehicle. I think all those hours of playing motogp on the pc helped.

              • Kinetic Luna (paddle start)

I was 12-13...and we recently bought that Luna (paddle start), and everyone was taking turn to test ride it. Last was my turn.
I took it around the colony, and in the middle it stopped. Now being a short highted boy, I couldn't work on its stand, so asked one uncle to do it. He just said- "If you know you can't do it, why did you take it for a test ride."
                That was it!!!
I pressed the clutch, put the accelerator, and ran with it. And here comes the funny part...that Luna went out of my hand, went freely for some 10 meters and crashed on the sand nearby, with engine running with full acceleration!!!
And I was like...YES, I finally started it without anybody's help

                      • I was 21 when I bought the Discover-135 for myself.. Didn't know how to ride a geraed bike then, but was really desperate to learn..
So my dad rode it home, with me on the pillion seat.. & then the lerning began.. My dad taught me how to ride (actually only the clutch-throttle control), & I picked it up really quick..
Been hooked ever since.. He barely rode the bike after I learn to ride it..

Also, I learnt riding a two-wheeler on the Bajaj Sunny (its the perfect machine for learning, super-light & tiny).. Was my cousins'.. Would go there on Sundays, & thats when I learnt it.. Was 15 years old then IIRC..

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.
