I currently use petronas 5000t synth oil in my rtrfi. I am happy with it,initially it wasnt good but after clocking some kms with it, i can say its gud and the best par is its VFM its damn cheap as compared to other brands. although castrol is a gud oil but i avoid buying that because it has the most number of fakes in the market and its really difficult to spot an original

        Yam r-15

        Bike - yamaha r 15
eng oil - yamalube semi synthetic
i feel the engine to be smoother and the gear shifts perfect so is the acceleration.

Prior to this i used motul 300v 15w 50 as the oil was thinner i felt engine was a bit noisy.

15W50 is thin? What is the viscosity of the oil that you use now? There is hardly any difference between 15W50 and 20W50, in case you're using 20W50.

I have tried all kinds of engine oil present in the market and yes suffered a lot due to my experimental habit.

Some crappy oil the svc put in at 1st service has been giving me hard gearshifts and a slight vibration at high gear n low speeds, like a deep rumble from the engine which cause the footrests to vibe, wasnt happening before... Time to change the oil @ just 1880 kms... this oil didnt even last 1500kms. mines a P220...

HERE I have a Q... We have two choices of Premium Oils AGIP and Motul
BUT which to go for guys
Motul 300v FS is awesome as we all know BUT consider this Agip Racing 4T Full Synthetic Engine Oil 5W40 is a 5W40 Oil where as Motul 300V 4T 15W50 100% Synthetic Engine Oil is a 15W50 oil. Isnt 5W40 much better refer these two links below where I got the above info from... I dont know which to go for now... help

                        Motul
                        300V Motul 300V 4T 15W50 100% Synthetic Engine Oil - Rs895.0..

                        AGIP
Agip Racing 4T Full Synthetic Engine Oil 5W40 - Rs620.00

DO I need to flush the engine before switching from mineral to synthetic ? Any of you guys did this before switching from mineral to synthetic ?

AND Motul products like chain cleaning n lubing are there similar alternatives... Motul products are a bit on the expensive side...

thin ?????? Motul 300v ? its quite thick much more so than a mineral oil...
In comparision to yamalube brand, is it thinner ? and by how much flow rate wise...

                              Hi all,
this is sunny, previously I was using TVS oil ( crap) oil after that switch to elf mineral oil and it was good after that motul 3000 4t ( mineral again ) later thinking of using FS oil but confuse as which one to use. I was thinking of using motul FS oil 10w 40 but many says that motul FS is not giving good results as it is more viscous than mineral oils and petronas is not available in kolkata so switch to castrol power 1( semi syn ). There is no dam change I feel same as using mineral oil, no change, can anyone suggest me is it good to use motul 300v 10w40 FS oil ?? bike having apache RTR FI
