    Kawasaki Eliminator

    It came in 2001

Here question is disc as standard fittment. CBZ was also available with drum break. so as standard fittment it was firstly available in eliminator only.

Not Indian Make ... It was assembled here..

here it has been asked for "sold in India" not "manufactured in India" so Hysong comet is right answer.

      @c_sbk: Bang on

ravi_afriend the first bike to sport disc brake wasnt CBZ or Elim but the Enfield\Zundapp Fury & IIRC it sported non Spoke rim too.

Btw did the BMW F650 sport a rear disc brake? If yes then that would be the first bike to sport a rear disc

Joel: damn man now even I want to know which bike was this

        With Due Respect to RD..

Its has a max power dilvery at 8,500 RPM : It is of a very sluggish nature, and has lazy initial..in respect to its cubic centimeter specification
In India it is a master piece..But,all over the world Not..

I have seen one Zundapp with drum breaks. so here it was as standard fittment disc so the correct answer is eliminator as it was not available in drum breakes. correct me if I am wrong Technocrat.

Ravi: I am not sure if the Fury came with drums as I havent seen any pics with drum. Also I am not sure if it intially came with discs & later with drums or a vice-a-versa.

Btw I think the first 'bike' with alloys would be Hero Puch Turbo. The Fury & others had diferent arrangements than spoke rims but not allow.
            I may be wrong though

People are more used to the power/weight ratio than specific power o/p.

@oldfox - I asked which was the first BIKE in india with an ES. Ki-HO was a scooter. But you got a lot of them correct. Good!

A great bike and as you say, way ahead of its time. 15+ bhp 2-stroke, long wheelbase >1.5mtrs, 'shear-mounted' engine (mounted on springs and rubber dampeners to eliminate vibrations), 5-speed box with genuine over-drive ratios, 'day-flash' switch for the head-lamp, front disc, alloy wheels etc etc... And all this in the late 80's. Was WOW! then.

                              1. Which was Indias first bike with an electric starter?
TVS-Suzuki Fiero - Its not for the first motorcycle sold in the country, but made in the country. Fiero was launched on Feb 2000 with an ES.

                              2. Which was the first bike in the country to sport a disc brake as standard fitment?
Enfield Zundapp Fury - It never had a drum brake version at all, FYI.

                              3. Which was the first bike in the country to have 2 exhaust pipes ?
                              Jawa 250

                              4. AX150 was the name of which bike?

                              5. India's first 160bhp/ltr motorcycle in stock form?
                              TVS-Suzuki Supra SS - 98cc with a 16bhp engine in stock form.

                              6. First bike in the country to be sold with rear disc brakes?
BMW F650 - First bike in the country to be sold with a rear disc

                              7. Indias first 6-speed motorcycle?
                              Yamaha RD350

                              8. India's first motorcycle with a CDI and modern electricals?
                              Ind-Suzuki AX100

                              9. India's first motorcyle with an electronic tachometer?
Enfield Zundapp Fury 175, then came the shogun in 1993.

                              10. Highest revving engine in the country, till date in stock trim?
TVS Apache RTR/FI 160 - (only M1g got it right ). Its the highest revving engine in the country till date(among cars and bikes too). Find out about any other engine made in india which revved till 12000rpm in stock trim.
