no matter how loud your pipe is an autowallah will beat you to it
A man's testosterone level is directly proportional to bhp that he's using on his motorcycle.

Yes mon ami - we are. I prefer to listen to my MP3s at a sensible volume - put a loud can guy in the group and your own music either gets drowned, or the volume jacked up so high its not good for my ears. Best to keep noise polluters as far away from my eardrums as possible.

You haven't ever heard a loud pipe have you ?

It would be enough for that Road Train to notice a biker and very important as well.

I agree to 2write while considering the conditions in USA. I hardly noticed bikers while driving there (I was also an SUV driver)! But in India, the loud pipes may not serve the same purpose.

Whatever... Thanks 2write for giving me one more point to convince myself to get a tuned pipe for my bike!
I have no respect for riders without helmet...
...no matter they are riding or lying on the road!

            UD ji,

The appropriate tool is a dog horn or pressure horn, if you will. Trumps most loud pipes and 99.99% of the time is not a public nuisance.
