Rare, as I've written, I rebuilt her entirely once. This pic was taken just after that.

I'd done a lot of extra chroming (like the side-stand, the levers etc) and got the clutch casing buffed too. The crash-guard is not standard. Bullets dont have crashguards or saree guards as standard! Strange na! This particular one is called a Butterfly crash-guard! - MAX.

Rajnish! You careless and insensitive RD riding creature! [:0] You didn't even notice the title of the thread? I miss her! And that's cos I don't have her anymore!

About the first line, just kidding! [].

Yesterday I went to our nearest Enfield dealer to test ride the T'Bird and the new Machismo. Me, my friend and the guy at the dealership all tried our level best, but the T'Bird wouldn't start. It had some problem, and there was only one piece in the showroom! [B)]

I rode the Machismo then. God knows what they had done to their test-ride bikes! The bike was vibrating like a tractor and I could feel the piston hitting TDC every time cos the tank was jumping with it, with a loud noise! [:0] Seeing that, I got scared and soon ran out of the showroom. I started getting memories of my Enfield days! [|)] Someday, somewhere, someway....[8)] - MAX.

***Saw the new Electra in the flesh yesterday. It's called 'the refreshed Electra' (in the company brochure!). It seems really good. I didnt ride it cos of the right side gearshift (which used to spoil all of my shoes!) and also, the leaky old engine. Guess I was seeing gas-shocks for the first time on a bike. They looked weird to say the least!

May be Rash... cos I've postponed my bike purchase plans for sometime to come, I just might try getting my 180 back to top condition. Nice idea you've given me though! Thanks! - MAX. [8D]
