One big issue with automatic scooters is that they don't deliver mileage what a geared motorcyle does.

Even the 150 cc Honda Etreno used to deliver quite good mileage compared to the 100 cc Activa. But then people seem to prefer the convenience of an Automatic rather than the fuel efficiency of a geared transmission.

^^ if we are talking about a powerful scooter then its bound to deliver less mileage..... the point here is not mileage..... a good scooter with great power delivery will be awesome.....

Large storage capacity and a car size comfort with pillion too!and its got both AUTO & Manual!

I love Big scoots. I will choose a Big 250cc scoot over something like a CBR250R or Pulsar 220 anyday.

Kinetic blaze used to be my fav scooter. Always loved the way it used to ride and the comfort it used to offer. Had i been earning in those days, i would have definitely bought one. But by the time i started earning, kinetic was borin mahindra 2 wheelers.

I hope they launch something like yamaha T-Max . I will get one and install a CNG kit under the seat . It will be so much fun to ride and will be cheaper and greener than a bike.

Love to ride/tour on Scooters. A fuel injected 150cc with 35+ FE is my preference. Of course, it should take the full-faced helmet under its belly.

The sexist attitude towards scooters seem to be diminishing. Bikers now seem more open to scooters.

Maybe that's coz when we bikers think about scooters.. we tend to think along the lines of kinetic blaze type moto-scooters.

Coming to the point i used to ride dad's bajaj super....hell i ride it even now if i get a chance...so YES...i would like to ride a scooter even now....

The fun of riding a scooter is very different than bikes....so if you ride a scooter with your bike in mind then i doubt you would be able to enjoy it fully and frankly it wouldnt be any justice to the scooter too....

I would say a 200cc engine with a fuel efficiecny of around 30 kmpl with a price tag close to 80k would suffice for most of us...wat say guys?????

                  Hmm,
Talking about Scotty, I couldn't deny its importance and comfort! Currently, Blaze, Dio and Pleasure are taking huge market in context of Nepal. Beside these, there are other types scooters available in different showroom!
In my opinion I prefer to use 125-150 cc scooter having mileage of at least 35 and price around NRs 1.5 lac ! As they are light and easy to handle and move on, they can easily be kept in garage for normal shopping and home to office! I especially like the space underneath the seat that provides space few for important stuffs.

                      Definitely YES!!.

With Vespa supposedly making entry early next year. I hope to see both range of scooters, one for the masses ~100-125 CC and the other a performance scooter like the GTS 300 . This is will open up a new segment and will definitely sell in good numbers provided priced appropriately. And who knows this might prompt the other big giants bring in their global range of scooters here.

I wouldve surely said nay... till i rode a scooter in thailand a week back. Nifty little thing, with front disc ( rear optional ). And the way it would charge up inclines with two on board. And the seat was comfy as hell... I dont know the exact tech specs, but it was a Yamaha Fino.

If any manufacturer launches something like that, im buying one for sure... ( it was around 75k INR there, so im hoping a lower price for india )

A scooter i would say is essential , i would gladly buy 1 if i had the money , lets face it . our country has bad traffic and its difficult to always hang on to a clutch lever in bumper to bumper traffic . A scooter gives some joy in riding short distances , its more agile and is more comfortable in traffic.

Yes i would still go for a scooter, in fact i started learning 2 wheeler on dad's bajaj priya a 1977 model and she still is there in my parking. I learnt bikes 15 years ago but scooters have a special place in my life. At my hometown i have rodeo which is a decent performance scooter and in pune i ride my wife's Mauve color scooty pep. (stop laughing now )

But if today i want to upgrade myself to scooter from my R15 i would look at something which is on similar lines like the recently unveiled BMW 650 as i want a machine which is good to tour and can carry pillion and luggage without fuss, i dont mind if i get a mileage of 25 kmpl from it, but i would not deny with the current shortage of fuels i dont mind buying electronic scooter also which has a decent top speed like 100 and gives a range of atleast 300 kms at 12 hours charge.

                                Price range 1 - 3 lakhs
