Re: Rear disc brake on yam FZ16, ...and others

How much would it cost locally?? - both, through mechanic & DIY like Lucky Luke. I know, we can get the whole kit from many places depending on reliability & accessibility in which case this thread would serve as the bible.

Bhp is how fast you hit a wall, Torque is how much of that wall you can take with you.

isn't it obvious. Do anything like this and you will void the warranty. You have to keep the bike in 'complete' stock condition if you want the warrantyto stay.

Re: Rear disk brakes for fazer

I had to spend a fortune on this mod. Later found out it was not worth it, I mean in terms of amount paid. Workmanship though is good. Got it done at my then known guys in PACER YAMAHA, BLR. They are real money suckers if you are not aware. Only after that I started dwelling deep about technicalities. Coming to the mod, its a P220 rear disc set-up. Swapped the original drum hub of FZ to P220's disc hub, precisely welded. This is Gen1 set-up (Round Callipers)

Re: Rear disc brake on yam FZ16, ...and others

A very good post. Just what I required. How much the total cost for the total setup.

I am planning this on my unicorn. As breaking is poor using drum breaks.

Also which disc assembly did you use and how much did it cost.
                  Please mention the amount.

Total cost would be in the range of 7000-8000
