    Internship/Training in Jan 2012

    Hello,

I'm a Mechanical Engineering student of 5th Semeter. I wish to do Internship or training in Automobile sector, (prefer bikes). I had done training in SAE F1 Car Design in Summers and now I want to learn something technical and wants to get my hands to get seriously dirty.

But I couldn't decide where I should go....

Help me in getting some good place to learn....

Practical Training in Automobile (2 Wheelers)

      Hi friends,

I stay in chennai and i am basically from a finance background. Somehow my mind stepped into the automobile section. I read many things about the engine parts and etc but i need some practical exposure on such things to know how it works. Is there any crash courses preferable or will it make sense if i join somewhere as a trainee to get to know about these things? If so does any other companies provides practical training to a person from non science background?

      Thanks & Regards

I'm surprised you're saying this; instead, how about...
                1. Buy a 4S motorcycle that needs to be dumped, at a throw away price
                2. We collect the parts & restore it at Muthu's garage every weekend, but will never let him even touch the bike, instead, all by ourselves
                3. Once assembled, strip it down again & then start over again, like one is to one

We'll pay the same money as we spend on education (matter of fact it should be even less) to him. He should be happily imparting his knowledge with us

                  Hey Guys,
I am very keen to learn the mechanics of a bike . getting my own hands dirty . and interning or attending a course . or just standing with a mechanic and hearing him give lessons . I dont have a science background but its just my will to learn it .
Could you please guide me to any internships / motor repairing training camps-workshops any such things in or near Mumbai ?

                  Thanks for reading.
