  • RE exhaust on tvs star

One guy in my neighbourhood has put a RE exhaust. It sounds like free flow exhaust and is not typical RE thump. And he says even FE hasn't dropped. Now what i wanted to know is what are the effects of this mod?
P.S: sorry for creating a thread for such a silly question but damn! I'm so curious.

    Query Approved
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I have no clue but I am really curious to see how the RE exhaust on a Star looks like. Can you post a pic?

Every exhaust is specifically designed for each bike depending on their level of exhaust gases, speed of throw and many more things. Just by "welding" any abc exhaust will only cause problem for the engine. Honestly IMO its all "poser" to install RE exhaust just for the sound.

yeah, i know it causes problems. But what problems to be exact? On exhaust values? Engines?

While saying that each exhaust system (consisting of the exhaust manifold, catalytic converter, muffler and connecting pipes) is designed specifically for that bike, we mean to say that the backpressure of every exhaust system is different which in turn may or may not be adjustable with a different engine. Back pressure caused by the exhaust system of a four-stroke engine has a negative effect on engine efficiency resulting in a decreased power output and increased fuel consumption...
Just my thought... Please correct me if I am wrong...

Edit: You are talking about TVS Star ! I've seen one on Avenger, one on Passion and one on.. guess what, a Splendor...!!!
