check out the pic which i posted here .. they have the performance data of both ns and duke printed beside each other ..they have clearly mentioned duke 0-120 as 15secs and ns 0-120 as 22secsOriginally posted by Type R View Post

Just sharing the same base do not definitely makes two identical bikes or similar powerplant.
All Porsches have a similar flair and character about them except the Cayenne and the 918 RSR.Just some Porsches makes a better figure than the other.
Even so, the Duke's character is totally different from the NS..........they are different bikes, different brands..............not even close as a Lamborghini to an Audi R8 in that case !!!

The 200 Duke is overall a faster bike no doubt. Speedo Indicated Speeds:
Every bike sold in India has speedo error. The permissible limit is around 10%. So if the 200NS shows a speedo indicated figure of 149 that means the real figure would be around 135 kmph, which is around what Bajaj officially claims (136 kmph).
A speedo indicated 130-135 kmph can be seen on the P200NS with a little effort. But to see 149 kmph on the speedo of the 200NS one would need a long (around 2 kmph) straight with smooth surface, no gradients, absolutely no traffic and a rider (preferably around 60 kgs) with real guts (or maybe foolish enough) with his head pinned to the tank during the entire speed run. It's possible but then you will have to tempt fate to see that magical number (even if on the speedo).
the diff between ns and duke is like porsche 911 and gt3 rs ..
the throttle response of duke is so sharp that i once powerslided while taking a turn (possible only while riding single obviously) ..since then i deliberately try to oversteer and powerslide it every now and then ..it is so much fun ..
overenthusiastic behaviour is in ktm's genes ...

Yeah, I know, as you said its in Overdrive. I will try to get a copy today. But even then, i can't believe it. Because I have personally compared the acceleration of Duke and NS side by side. now i am seriously thinking what if i wait for 6 months, save enough money and get the duke
btw i have not ridden ns so cant comment but duke goes exeptionally fast till 120, then slows down that too in a very accurate speedo...

--rider comfort on duke is good for city rides.. ns rider seat is clearly bigger than the one on duke . i liked the rider seat of duke more than ns cuz ns rider seat is very broad and uncomfortable while placing both your feet on the ground (pant gets pulled up ) ,, my butt started paining after 1hr of highway ride on duke ,, mainly cuz of hard seat ..it mainly depends on the weight of rider ..slim people will find duke to be more comfy and fat people will feel at home on ns ..Originally posted by MHG View PostHeight fine, and comfort level ?
