  • [Photo Feature]: Steel sprockets performance modification's

hello friend's , myself raj just would like to share some information about a RACING CDI, for activa which i did for one of my mate.
As u can see the CDI in the pic has improve'd 25% of the overall performance of the bike with quick rev's and the feel of the bike has change'd
completely compare'd to stock. The fuel efficiency remain's to be same .
just a sample from us many more remaining to post.

    Topic Approved.

Its a good work you did there. I have a query: like almost every modification in the world, will it result in more sound, more exhaust gases, or any other compromise?
And how did you measure the figure of 25%? Also, how exactly did you work on it? Was it modification on an existing CDI, or you created a brand new one?

      Great work guys.
It will be helpful if u pour some more light on for which other bikes u have developed such CDI.Price and are they well tested for long time and long run.

samarth 619 , sry the CDI is after market cdi's which we get a brand new one ,and no it will not result in any sound, helps to gain quick rev's .The story behind it is that we tried this CDI for 98cc dio it is a plug and play kind the results were good just with a CDI improved abt 18% in overall performance (feedback by our customer's and expert rider's)when we tested.later we upgraded with 110cc bore kit for the dio, it improved like about 25% when we tested and get this feedback. So it's just a modification without any hurdle's and fun to ride in city peaky traffic.NO sound and no comprosme as we have done this modification for about 20 moped's so far and no change's in fuel efficiency it remain's to be the same.

sumit19,thanks for your support to us .No we have not developed any cdi ,but these are aftermarket cdi which are imported .The price is rs2000/- and it is a plug and play kind. And yes we have tested for long run as one of the DIO with our CDI has completed 15000kms successfully without any problem's and fuel efficiency is the same.

Got this from your FB page. "pulsar 220 cc big bore (230 cc)....increase in power by 15% and increase in fuel efficiency by 10%....high dome high compression semi-forged piston...." What is the base of this? Any technical datas?

Arun magus yes we have a 230cc big bore for P220 .The bore is really good which comes with a high dome to increases the compression for street purpose.
And yes we get an increase in fuel efficiency because of the higher compression ,which helps to burn air at a faster rate.Kindly read boyle's relation PV=nRT for better understanding.
We get a little bump in fuel efficiency because of higher compression principle.Ideal gas law - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Can I get a CDI for my RTR 180? What would be the cost? What exactly does the CDI do to my bike?

About your semi-forged piston, won't a thicker piston cool down less efficiently and slower than a thinner one.? And thicker means more weight, won't the rpm and bhp drop.?
                  Cheers

yes you can we have CDI for apache its has the best map's in the CDI which helps u give quick RPM's for your apache. And no the thicker piston is just to be more reliable then usual piston's because of the higher compression factor. As i have mentioned in my previous post's about it, you will gain performance because of the 190cc high compression piston .You can pin me personally for the price because many people here think i'm here for some advertisement alone.

                        Front sprocket:
Adding a tooth to the front sprocket will increase top end
speed (less low-end acceleration), remove a tooth to increase acceleration
                        (lower top speed).

                        Rear sprocket:
The rear sprocket is the exact
opposite as the front. Adding a tooth to the rear sprocket will increase
acceleration (less top speed), remove a tooth to increase top speed (less
low-end acceleration). You should also note that a 3 tooth change in the rear
sprocket is equal to one tooth change in the front sprocket.

@experts: is this correct..??? and also let me know how much this modification will affect the gear ratio and will it make shorter 5th gear of any bike a longer one...????

The gear ratio is calculated by number of teeth of the front sprocket divided by the number of teeth by the back sprocket. So it isn't a hard and fast rule that 3 teeth of the rear = 1 tooth of the front. You can calculate it yourself.
About the 5th, gear, the gear ratio has nothing to do with the gear box of the bike. What I mean is it either amplifies or diminishes the gear after the gearbox. So it will effect every gear of your bike.
Don't undergear or overgear too much as it will effect the load on the engine.

And in sprocket topic, my query is the same.

A setup of "Duke 200's Chain + Sprocket Set" on "Pulsar 220 DTSI".
How much it's gonna be under / over gear ?
The gearing will be short or long ?
And the main thing, does this put more pressure on Engine to ruin it ?
First I was Scared But then We Made a Deal

What is the size of front sprocket of duke and if pulsar 220? Let me know and I will tell you whether it is over it under gearing.
If you over gear too much, then ya. You will strain your engine. Send me a pm and I will tell you.
