The risk is the same as with any other tubed tyre . i.e sudden deflation in case of a suitable puncture . Since lots of riders are are surviving daily with tubed tyres and that risk and as such occurrences are really rare , there is no cause for alarm . Buy a new tubeless tyre when this one wears out eventually .

The tubeless tyres dont get ( dont know the exact word to explain) ;-) really hot while riding ling diatances, tubes get hot @ high speed n thus have higher chances of bursting, tubeless tyres have a very thick wall where as tubes have a very thin layer of rubber. The more hot it gets the more it inflates n the more chances of bursting, there is always a specific temp as pee the company norms, which is mentioned on the side wall of the tyre, treadware, temp and some more things.

Here's mine, the old is a 130/70 and the newer one is 140/70. I even have a video of a big burnout before changing the tyre, don't think I can post it here though.
Will be going in for another tyre change soon.

The old one still have quite a bit of life in it. The threads are clearly visible. Why changing it so soon ?

If you see, the center is gone and because of that I could not corner at all. Didnt make much sense in slipping. These are soft compound tyres which should run 15-20k kms and thats how much I ran them, 16k.

Center is gone ? I din't get you mate. Can you explain please ? Just curious that's all.
While cornering we hardly use the center contact patch right , more contact is on the outer side/chicken strips area right ? Do correct me if i am wrong

I guess Abhayshanu was referring to the center threads which have worn out more than the outer ones. Now while cornering we don't completely use the outer profile, at least 50% of the center threads also have a role to play. Only SBK/MotoGP tires have enough contact patch in their outer threads for cornering, reason being their profile. They're ~190/200 spec tires, but we're talking about 110-140 profile tires here. Yes, cornering indeed needs the middle patch. Moreover, with the onset of monsoon it's a good thing he changed those tires unless he wanted some life threatening scares under braking.

Indeed, makes sense. Thanks for the explanation mate.!!

During monsoons, I also change it before it wear out that much, only because of the risk factor. In summers, I use the tire till the center patch is almost fully bald, like the pic i posted here in previous posts.

Soft compound tyres have a limited life, 10 to 12k.. Braking goes for a six then.. yes while cornering u need 50% of ur centre threads..
