I posted the exact same thing, guess no one is interested in the akra much. It would look so hot and would sound eargasmic.
I hope they get it here as a powerpart soon. Else we'll have to figure out a way to get one. Keep me updated if you are able to find a source.

How much does the Akrapovic officially cost in India if we import it? Also, is it specific to the 390 or a common model shared with the Duke 200/125?

The akrapovic is officially not available in India, homologation not done is what I was informed by fellow xbhpians.
I am sure that the 125 and 200 share the exact same model but by the looks of it even the 390 might be using the same akra cans.
I am not sure though how can bikes with different displacement use the same cans. Experts may be able to shed some light on this.

Erm... if one is willing to pay they can get in touch with PRS: Performance Racing Store. EXHAUSTS

or else Motozone can also get you the same on priority delivery. Though my guess is it would be an expensive affair...

          Cheers,

            Cheers,
Thanks for the info mate. Yes, I am afraid it would be crazy expensive, to the point of being unaffordable. If its around 30k like I read somewhere, even then I can think of one, but above that for a slip-on that too for a small single would be asking too much.
I heard somewhere that ktm powerpart akras are only sold by ktm dealers so can the mentioned retailers get it, even if they get it will I get warranty?
Lots of questions, guess I'll call them.
            Thanks again.

re: Modifications on KTM Duke/ RC series

People who plan to get an ngk iridium spark plug for their dukes, I have been looking into different forums, googling etc to find the exact replacement part no. but no one seems to have an answer.

Well, I did some research on my own and the ngk iridium part number that would fit(as suggested by ngk) both the duke 390 and 200 is ngk LKAR8AI-9.

Akra exhausts are preety expensive.. If there are many riders who what the exhaust, it can be brought in bulk and that way, it won't cost a bomb..
well, not everyone would want that.. So i think it near to imposible of this happening..
If would also like to get one when i buy this (that might take a couple of years )

                Ride safe and have fun.
                Regards

re: Modifications on KTM Duke/ RC series

I'm planing to purchase Motul 3000 4t 15w50 to be used in for D390 during break in.

I called B'lore manager Hari [8197249695 - got the number from Motul India FB page] and he was kind enough to give me a number in KR Puram [Where I live] from where I can purchase the same.

Surya Automobiles near KR Puram quoted me 300 Rs per litre. Please let me know if this is reasonable.

Afaik 3000 4t comes in 20w50 but still it is the recommended grade for duke. Good enough you are planning to break in this way. I would be using whatever oil that comes pre-filled and change it early.

Even I thought the same that it comes only in 20w40.But little googling suggested that it comes in 15w50 as well. I enquired motul manager and he said that it is available in market in 15w50 as well. I'll confirm once I buy it.

I know that buddy but all I was saying was it is 20w50 instead of 15w50. Also 20w40, XXw30 are available grades of motul 3000 4t.

15w50 is available only in 300v and may be 5100, I am not sure about the latter.

I just bought 4 ltrs of Motul 3000 15W50 4T Mineral oil [290 rs / ltr]. After reading your post, I checked the label again. Yes it is 3000 15W50.

Next in my list is head light upgrade. Some one PLEASE suggest me a good upgrade without voiding the warranty.

regarding the windshild, check the Duke 200 thread.. a lot is being discussed there regarding the same..
as for crash guards, ones the bike is properly in the market, you would find many aftermarket options..
