    Chinmayakar says on the Duke 200 thread that Metzelers will cost Rs 11,000 if you buy it directly from Bajaj. Hoping that's going to come down further over the months keeping fingers crossed now.

      i hope some good alternative will come up from mrf for tyres atleast.

      what about service costs? im already fearing a lot. i dont have much money for maintenance. i need to know estimate of parts like
      air filter
      coolant
      oil
      brake pads
      clutch
      other cosmetics, etc..

        KTM Duke 390 has engine oil capacity of 1.6 liters, and coolant capacity of 1.2 liter. The recommended grade is 15W50 and they recommend a drain interval of 7,500 KMS or once a year if the bike is not ridden that much. This proves it, I have been saying that we change oils too often babying our bikes.

          I talked to couple of dealers and service centers. The service including oil change will be around 3.5 to 4k to be done every 5000 kms.
          About the tires, they will be 22k for the pair. Bajaj bulk buying and selling for 11k are complete rumors.

            Update: First service came to around Rs 1900, since I took half a litre of oil extra for top ups.

                Ok, the first paid service happened. There was an AMC offer where you pay for two paid services and the third service is free. So all out it came to approximately 2000 bucks without the oil change (it had run only 2k kms since last service. Replacement of fuel filter happened, then chain cleaning, lube and other regular maintenance. How much have you guys been paying to service your 390s?
