Just wanted to know if you guys have any prior experience(s) where you had to camp outside for maybe reasons like lack of accomodation/budget constraints etc etc. Please let me know if I have posted this in the wrong section. Thanks.

barring certain one off occasions, i've seldom camped outside & in the open. way too much thought goes in the safety of my bike & my personal belongings; primarily the 2 main reasons why camping out enroute has not been much practiced nor recommended by me
i know some folks who do it... but many of them ride a bullet & hence are on a very very tight budget [perhaps since they ride bullets

Wonderful topic.. Me and My friends always wanted to know.. but just couldn't find out how to start the topic.. I would like to get advice from the experience of the guys who have camped outside on a long trip as we are planning to do the same for the Tour to South from Delhi
