Asphanikar suggested, getting an anti glare glasses will help a lot. On few occasions, I have driven wearing my Polaroid glasses. It makes lot of difference.

And I apologize. Like I mentioned, it was an urgent post and I had to ride in the night. So I did, without night vision glasses
Later, I forgot to check out the replies.
One thing that I picked up from the thread, is that better headlights are the way to go. I am planning to get them on my bike, and will look for more information on that later.
