if iam not mistaken ram air implies to the direct air intake frm the vents which are usually in the front of the bike it gives an additional boost to the engine by directly taking in air frm those vents an gives an increase in bhp as in cbr1000rr 2004 which has a stock bhp of around 172 which increases to 180bhp with ram air as for pro link i hv very little idea so i am not writng nething bout it

Pro link is a Patented Single side swingarm developed and used by Honda on its bikes .

It goes by the name of Pro Link in the world markets.

so if we can put an small plastic pipe beneath our fairing and join it to the air filter intake area.
so will it boost the speed a bit or not. please dont laugh on my thoughts and please be positve in replying.

Right you are koolsun.. its kinda like a freer air intake in cars which provides more boost..

u got it rite it may work but at high speeds in excess of 75kmph+ u can find more info on this if u use the search, it was discussed very long bck for pulsars i guess and ppl had tried it out n it worked ,although it needed carb setting accordin to more air flow

a ram intake for pulsar i goTTA SEE!....
i know for a fact that the for the ram air (boost) to actually work in the Yamaha R1 (2004), u gotta cross 200kmph.....so below 200 kmph its still 172 bhp rather than 180.....are u sure abt the ram air on the pulsar, koolsun?

Yes..it would surely work....but wont be that easy....if u directly attach pipes then there will be a lot more that will go in than just the air. Or, alternatively, u can attach the pipes in such a way that one end is exactly below the fairing, and the other end opens right in front of the air filer. But as the amount of air entering the air box will be more, u'll have to tune the carb for the exact amount of fuel needed to suit the amount of air entering. And as koolsun menioned, u'll need to move at high speeds for that air to enter, but that aint possible during the normal city driving. So u'll need a carb that will change the fuel setting according to the amount of air entering...

Impressive info! Any idea approximately how many horses we could gain by doing that on the Zma?

Would you say it is a comparatively easy mod to do? or is it gonna take a lotta work?

not easy exactly...but can be tried..initially without any carb setting...
