  • Buy a upcoming bike that is not released yet.

    Hey everyone,

As the title says, I'll be looking for a new bike, an upgrade from my current Unicorn with spoke wheels and disc brake.. (Yes, I somehow love the disc & spoke combo.. Hence hunted it down in a second hand market..)

Upcoming bikes in my cross hair..

    - KTM RC 200
    - HX250R
    - P400ss

Well those are just some of the popular names making rounds here.. And yes I'm ready to wait for my dream bike..

I was going around the forums and need more information.. Please feel free to discuss.. This thread is not only for me but for anyone who is in the "I'm going to be the first one to own _____ bike!!" Race..

I'm around 5'11 in height.. 77-78 KGS in weight.. My driving style will be a mix..

I work the night shift.. So go to the office at night and come home early morning in the upcoming metro city - Hyderabad..

Office is around 22 kms away from my home, so that makes it to 45 kms a day.. Max.. (Adding a km coz I tend to deviate from the course.. [emoji12])

That makes it a driving of 225 kms per week or 900 kms per month or 10,800 kms per annum..

This is excluding weekend drives that are just around the city.. A Max radius of 5-6 kms.. And that's rare.. And a rare weekend long drive.. For the thrill of speed in the highway and some photoshoot... (Yes.. I'm a photographer and a few of my friends love to pose.. )

Oh wait.. Mom says that if I get married in near future, make some space for your future wife... I'm planning a car for her.. But bike rides get us closer and romantic.. [emoji7] Its also economic.. [emoji56]

So that's just about me.. But please feel free to discuss your own needs and requirements as well since I couldn't find a thread discussing about upcoming bikes in this section.. Or am I bad in using the search??

    Let's lock and roll..

In addition to the mentioned three bikes, there are many other which would be released in the near future. This topic can be a never ending discussion and can become a war-zone between haters and lovers.
Now for the three bikes, RC200 would be surely fun (we all know how much fun Duke 200 is). But for Bajaj and Hero bikes, i would reserve my comments.

I for one would wait for the Yamaha R25, for the shear pleasure of riding a quarter-liter twin yammy.

      Ride safe and have fun.

My suggestion would be to wait for the R25.. cant comment on the HX250R just yet as the bike has jusy been unveiled and not launched.. the RC200 is based on Duke 200 engine with a little tweaks here and there.. the p400ss is based on duke 390 with minor tweaks here and there.. yamaha r25 is already launched jn Indonesia and you will get the feedback and reviews on the bike by the time it is launched in India.. besides. It is a twin cylinder.. you will love riding it.. also the sitting posture is neither too sporty nor commuterish..

First tell us whats wrong with your present bike. I mean you feel it's lesser in power comfort style etc.? Then think of an upgrade. My personal views are that the bigger engine you get the harder it becomes to ride in city. If you ask me, all you need is an r15. It takes you wherever you want, with style and efficiency.
