Guys,
I have a small question,
Is Throttle Free Play in the Accelerator really required???
If required then what is the advisable length?? I own an R15.

I think princesirohi is correct, the manual says 3 to 5mm which is 0.5cm.
currently the the free play is about 1.5 to 2 cm which is quite uncomfortable to use the throttle.
what do you suggest???

I tried removing the Throttle free play totally, just to see how it feels, Man its really amazing and gives a virtual thought that the bike revs more faster than before.
Later set it to 0.5CM

Working of a four stroke engine
Here are few videos which made me understand the basic concept of a four stroke engine.

It's self explanatory. Its the steepness of the climbing angle you can ride uphill, with these bikes. In other words, Pulsar 220 can climb higher and steeper slopes than Discover.
Apart from the engine torque, I think its more about the grip levels of these bikes' stock tyres.---

Refers to horizontal.Originally posted by Nammo View PostOkay, if the degrees represent the climbing angle.
Then what does the percentage represent ?
As in with respect to
The percentage is how many percent of the distance traveled horizontally you go up (or down!).
For example, if you travel one meter (=100cm) horizontally while going up 25cm. you will have gone up a 25% slope, and the angle of that slope is 14 deg.
If you travel one meter horizontally while going up one meter (difficult!), you will have gone up a 100% slope. The angle of that slope would be 45 deg.Last edited by Lucky Luke; 09-28-2011, 10:32 AM.When I do something stupid, my consolation is to know that I'll do the worse one only once!
