Sunday, 26th June may have been a regular lazy day for the rest of the city, but as far as enthusiasts of motorcycles are concerned, it was a day that will go down in the books of history, a day when Kolkata got together to celebrate Motorcycles and the freedom it gives to its lovers. Enjoyed the day with fun-filled motorcycle activities, interactive sessions, display of classic, vintage and superbikes, stunt exhibition, motorcycle gymkhana, Rock Concert, EDM party and lots more!
The parking lot at Gate No. 4 of Eco Park turned into a carnival of sorts with the legendary vintage bikes and their connoisseurs standing tall in the center, an array of superbikes and their humble owners in the corner, a small timer-track pathway competition going on near the entrance, a stunt show being performed by professional motorcycle-stunters and a podium set for a thrilling performance by a noted band in the city. An event nothing less than a carnival.
With a turnout of close to 1300 people, World Motorcycle Day Kolkata can safely be considered the biggest in-city motorcycling event celebrating the freedom of motorcycles. The event even saw Mr Debashis Sen, CMD- HIDCO himself pay it a visit and strike a pose on one of the superbikes there.
