Decided to do away with all this permutations and combinations. Put up Zapper FS 2.75" 18 front which is a stock tyre on CBZ. Made some tweaks here and there.

Did 119 kmph on speedo at 9krpm. Faced good wind resistance. Could have done 1-2 kmph more.

2000 cbz, clocked 46+, no engine mods, zma mags with dunlop 120/80 rear tyre, i use castrol power 1, service at every 2500-3000 kms, it performs flawless,110-115 kmph is ease.

Very finely maintained and made-up bike. Did you use Karizma disc brake and caliper or the standard one mated to ZMA alloys at front, and at what cost?

i like to improve my bike's perf,i'l take a lil time to start experimenting.
and,27ps outta crf150 is unbelievable, cbz with 27ps on indian roads is like woooooooooow

Hi ppl...its been really long since i've posted something in my thread, all these days was busy wid my xams and now finally got a job.
last month my bike engine ceased working all of a suddden,it happend when i was comin home from college, its about 25Kms ride..i was riding sedately for some 20kms (was running outta fuel and had to extract optimum mileage out of my bike), and when i neared home,i opened throttle, revved till 8k and then closed throttle and came to stand still, after that, immediately i heard a strange noise from the engine head,i bent down to inspect, all of a sudden the sound was increasing in idle condition and engine ceased.I tried Electric start, no use..so i thought of kick starting it and learnt that the kicker was intact and dint move at all.I was not able to bring the kicker down, and had to tow the bike home with my friend...
rest of the story on the way,am posting this from my office,i'l cont it tonite.....

                    Contd...
and then i had to take it to mech shop and explained what happened, and so we removed the
timing chain door and was shocked to see some kind of thin steel strip jammed inbetween
the timing chain and the wheel..then unmounted the engine and slowly dismantled part by part.
and then found that the metal strip in there is actually the timing chain pad.
The pad on the cam chain tensioner is intact, the other chain positioner is the culprit there.
Till now am unaware how the positioner pad came out of its position and got into the wheel.

A day later had to fix the bike,so went on hunting for CBZ parts,no stupid dealer has stock,
had to roam around the whole city to get the parts.
The list of items replaced were,
                    Cam chain tensioner pad,Chain positioner,Timing chain,valve oil seal,valve springs,
                    head gasket,clutch plates,clutch springs,clutch bearing,stock sprocket kit..

decided to change the valves as well since it has clocked 63k Kms,
so went ahead and bought inlet and exhaust valves (KBB) and took the head and valves to
lathe guy and asked him to polish the head(remove carbon and do a mirror finish) and fit the
valves after lapping it.It took some 2hrs and he was finally done with it.
happily paid 120 bucks and went to mech shop,Then i started removing a thick strong carbon deposit
on the piston with help of a file and screw driver.
Then got a 3bond rubber paste and started fixing the cylinder and finally the head, then mech
adjusted the timing and then mounted the mill onto the chasis and bolted it with full pressure.
and when it was done finally,it was around 11.30 in the night.
was very very happy to see my bike back in condition after 2 days.

I kick started her and wooooooooow the exhaust sound was kinda different.I cudn't wait to rip,
and then i started riding, there was a drastic difference in the NVH levels which i physically felt.
That gave me confidence and by that time i hit the 100ft road near my house, guess what...Open roaddddd
i down shifted and opened throttle and mannnnn it was past 7k on my tacho and i can feel the
bike doing it effortlessly and with very less vibrations..I was stunned,i cudn believe it
i started ripping it hard and touched 9.5k where the vibes were harsh. But still i have complained bout
the vibrations at 5k rpm but in this case it was superb smooth and the exhaust sound was very different.
I happpily ripped it till i reached my home,it was awesome guyssss..
now am very much satisfied with my CBZ.

however am still confused bout the timing pad getting into the wheel and what would've
been he cause for the vibes all these days tat i was complaining bout??
I guess its the mounting of the engine that did the trick..

                    guys comments.......

@dual disc 200-- ppl know the build quality and reliability of the bajaj and tvs.
it again entirely depends on the person's choice..u need initial accel, braking u've got rtrs, wanna taste 21bhp,pulsar 220...both these companies cant match the quality and reliability, refinement of honda engines according to me.
bajaj and tvs engines are short lived when put under constant rip ride.
bajaj is famous for its faulty super duper gear box an so on...

Hmm..., dude i've tasted all the machines mentioned above and i do own some of them! I do agree that Honda has refinement inherited from Japan and a million working all over the globe funding for a good product, but do they dare to even think of what Bajaj & TVS thinks of in terms of innovations and R&D here in India?? Ever heard of a 4 valve from Honda in India?? Have a look at Pulsar LS! Btw. which of ur Bajaj had the so said faulty super duper gear box?? I'm a very curious person to know the truth when it comes to false statements and blaming!

Ya but what's the use of innovation without reliability???and these aren't exclusive ideas of bajaj or tvs, they inherit ideas from popular brands.
and about the gear boxes,i can show u thousand real life bikes which are equipped with these transmission tech, and what do u say about the pulsars and discovers with half-silencers?????
am not blaming jus like that,i've seen hundreds of bajajs like tat on road..

You are seeing 100 like that coz Pulsars have been sold in thousands. Riders are different, maintaining the bikes thus, differently. Honda does bring refinement but that's it. Nothing else. Bajaj has tried to do things differently & they have done it quite well so what ideas are being taken from other brands.
