      @ Yamahatrooper

I own a Gladiator and it's always been a pleasant experience with the guys at Bangalore Wheels, the dealer from where i bought my bike. Getting the bike serviced has been very efficient and hassle-free everytime. A couple of the sales guys, mechanics recognise me and greet me as well! During one of the services, i wanted the bike ready in a couple of hours and watched the service procedure standing right next to the mechanic working on it. I asked him questions also regarding what he was doing, the bike etc and he calmy answered them all. He courteously offered me tea as well during the tea break for all the mechanics! Although the bike was delivered a little later than expected, it was a great job done with a good customer-service center rapport! Yamaha forever!
Right now, 11 Bhp at 7500 Rpm.

HERE in Jaipur, the condition is Vice versa.
the Bajaj people, gave me a dyno test of the 220FI and were good at behaviour.
YAMAHA people are the opposite, their reaction, The bike is good, and we won't give a test ride (WTH) but my dad being a high official, i got a small ride.

Its nothing surprising. The sales people and even the service people at Khivraj used to be horrible. It was one of the factors that made give up on BAL. Once upon a time places like Auto Service were at least good with service in terms of courtesy but not in terms of quality as time wore on. Basically, it would appear that BAL is blinded by VOLUMES ..and is not bothered if a 1000 customers are not happy with COURTESY and SERVICE QUALITY. They have 10 times that number waiting to buy their bikes. ....

I really hope I come across a good Bajaj dealer cos I really like the P220 and wanna go all out and get it but this. But both Popular with my old 180 and this expeirence with Khivraj PBK has made me really think twice.

Bajaj service is pathetic to say the least. I have visited their SC atleast 5 times regarding a fault in the self starter, and only on my 6th visit did they actually give me the warranty letter. More so, I am supposed to travel 10kms to the dealer to get it checked, for which two days will be taken, and I'll have to ride my bike without a battery till then, while it is clearly prohibited in the manual.

While the SA was getting the warranty letter ready, another SA at the reception had the temerity to say that "Don't issue warranty letters just like that. Ask them for 2 days time", while I have been visiting these guys frequently and they are well aware of my problem, which they haven't been able to solve.

                        Sigh.

Edit all ended well. Jai autos, adyar, actually gave a new battery from their side, even though exide refused to replace the faulty battery, saying that they had rectified it. I did not have faith in that exide battery anymore though, it had given me enough troubles. Hats off to Jai autos.
