Unedited, straight from the cam! (MotoROKR E6, 2 MP)

              Low Beam

              High Beam

In real life, its better than in these pics. I could see till the end of the road. (There is a junction.)

If you are asking about the underlying principles, all Indian bikes are the same and works similarly.

                        • spare watts in motorcycle for add-ons

                          Hi abhijeet,

You post is really informative. Don't understand why your thread is not active.

I wanted to know what is the regulator output watts on motorcycle models in india. Do you have details of the same. I want to plug an add-on on the motorcycle that draws a continuous current between 3 to 3.5 amps i.e around 45 to 50 watts. Do you think at full load the motorycycle charging system will be able to handle the additional add-on drawing 3 to 3.5 amps continuously without posing a battery discharging problem?

Also should my add-on be connected to the battery or to the regulator output side. Will connecting to the regulator output side avoid any battery discharging issue?

                          Regards,

                          • If you mean a stock Indian motorcycle, it has at max around 10-15W to spare on a continuous basis! (This is on a full DC bike like P220. For a AC + DC bike, there will be not even that much to spare.)

Will the battery discharging problem be solved if I connect the add-on DC device to the regulator output side instead of connecting it to the battery?

                              • ^^ No, AC side can not spare even 5W extra. You will need to rewind to support 20W reliably for long durations. For short bursts, it can be directly connected to the battery.
