With all the posts above clarifying the origin of the name of Karizma, you still bring in the names of Karishma, Karieena, or Katrina. Seems you are obsessesed with these bolly heroines. I do not want to comment any further.

Seems people get pleasure by distorting the names of other bikes that they do not like or they like it but could not own one.

Some good names I thought
1. Eliminator
2. Bullet (a slow bullet though :P)
3. Aviator
4. Comet
5. Karizma (though its my bike.. commmon its not that bad.. yeah its not that appealing also.. agree)

some not So good names:
1. Bansar err.. Pulsar .. sounds like ulsar AKA Pee 150/180.. etc.. etc..
2. Apache Indian ()
3. Boxer
4. Platina
5. Luna

This are just the names which I liked or disliked & not the machines.. I thought about this forgetting the machines.. Mere Names

OT: With all due respect to the comments above for Karizma, I think the name is not inspired by Karishma. It is rather derived from "Charisma". It might not be a good name, but we are wrong in associating it with Karishma. If people say it Karishma then it is not HH's problem. People even call CBR as See-Bihar (No offence to Bihar, just not suitable for a bike). People call Hayabusa as Haiyya-Busa. And some calling Fazer as Pager.

Seriously, People cant even pronounce it properly!
But they will definitely go crazy seeing Karishma kapoor, I wonder wot kind of bikers these PEOPLE ARE!!!

And anyone right from a owner of TVS LUNA to R1 or Any Other Person, A Xbhpian or any human being is free to post his POINT OF VIEW and his PERSONAL OPENION on ANY OF THE BIKES.

As you can see Karizma (derived from Charizma or Karishma) is in nearly everyone's worst list (check out whole 11 or so pages!) and it shows that watever the origin, it has somehow wrong influenced our Indian minds!
U cant help it, if you know the exact meaning than clap! clap! But let the people think watever, you did ur job telling them the right thing but ur no one to force them think the way u think neither u shuld start a "UlSAR VS KARISHMA" thing here!
This is just a light weight comic thread about names and please let it be the same!

Even I had been a ZMA and P200 owner and even after being well informed about the origin of names I never flamed "U are fool, u are wrong" typo things, infact I am the one who Started the thread naming my own bike (Zma) in the worst list! I had criticised the "Ulsars" but does that really matters? I know, every Xbhpian know every biking aware youth know that "Pulsar and Karizma" are one of the best Indian Bikes and they would always be the Dada of Indian biking, even after another 10-20 years they would be remembered for what the PERFORMED and not how they were NAMED.. U know Old Is Gold!!

Coz I always knew that "Name Never Decides The Fame"

Actually it is just because people prefer "Semi Numeric" names over "Alphabetical" or "Numerical" names..
And on the other hand people like "tough adrnaline pumping" manly names over "Soft sounding" names!
Though we have exceptions for both but majority is stuck to these two classes..

Rx100,RD350,R15,R1,CBR1000,RTR 160,GS150R etc are examples of the former class!

Whereas APACHE,THUNDERBIRD,MACHISMO,BULLET,FIREBLADE etc are example of the other class!
