And yes here it goes - technology is fatal when used in a wrong or bad way. The bluetooth operator was just a click away from loosing his tooth and his ears... well Thank God that it didnt happen.
But see we all know people who ride there bikes with ipods, bluetooth handsfree and etc etc but it doesnt make one feel bad. These responsible riders wont enter the pump if they are having a conversation on there cell phones. And i think by opening this thread about him we are giving that person too much importance and unwanted attention may be which he is looking for.

So basically its the individual it matters. Some people have ego, attitude, and no common sense as a thick mixture running in there body engine. And hence they puff out even when the most polite words are used to make them stop doing something. The only thing is that we should try to make these people understand but again that would happen only if the culprit admits that "hey guys i am sorry it was me on the pump" but I doubt that his engine gonna misfire.
Its sad that due to few guys the community gets a bad name. Its really saddening. IMO I think the xBhp stickers should be with the mods. and whenever a new member comes in one should give him some time lets say 6months to see his online and offline activities (like probation period) and ifhe/she is behaving all well then the stickers should be given to him as a token of honour.
The Question is not about one single individual, its more about the logo he was carrying, it was not a ordinary logo, but of XBHP which loses respect when such activities are carried out and is more valuable not only for u and me but for every member of XBHP as its also posing a negative image in front of XBHP newbies and all the people present at the petrol pump and who know this guy may be doing the same thing visiting from one pump to other pumps.

I dont want to praise this guy or something its like i want to convey if we XBHPIANS are a leading group today then let us spread the message among masses which include all this safety standards and make all bikers aware of things which are bad, if one xbhpian member can make one person a perfect and disciplined rider that can really a massive wave for a big change.

Very truely said Shrinath, I agree to you that the logo is of high etsteem and prestige to us, and it does mean a lot as well. And that guy actually gave it a bad name and hence we all riders out here should come out of a way that how to avoid these type of guys in future so that our community doesnt get a negative impact.

I am new here. So please forgive me if i say something wrong
XBHP is not just a website it has become a part of my life( like many of you)
I did not go home on weekends because i dont want to miss even a single G2G. First time in life i met with people who feels the same way i feel for bikes and biking.
And it is not only about one person it is about all of us.
At some time on road we all have broken the traffic rules
          some jump red lights
          some speed up in traffic
          some do zig zag
          some stunts

So what i mean to say devil is some where inside all of us.
First we need to improve our-self after that we can blame some one else.

Dont worry i was also at one point of time same as you but then as all say that Maturity comes with age and experience and also i got advice from my seniors which i followed but i feel above all its your mindset what decides how to control the beast and pull down others who want to show off by kicking their ass, now tht doesnt mean to be a reckless driver in the middle of traffic just being challenged by a road side Time pass moron biker as i know how badly it pains after getting ripped at the speed of 70 +..

Well , if someone says I didn't know that you can't use Mobile Phones at a fuel bunk then he should start looking around with his shades down or visor up. Coz if you can't see this no phone symbol , next thing you'd do is light up a cigarette , coz probably you didn't see the smoking sign either.

I think I have seen an article which says (and proves) that it can't cause a fire but why would you want to risk your and more importantly others lives.

In the same way , haven't you guys ever heard peoples phones ringing at the time of take off and landing when its strictly prohibited? I don't understand why don't people value anyone else's lives.

What are mobile signal jammers used for? Can't they be made compulsory at such vulnerable places?

Many educational institutions are investing in these devices and are successful (to some extent ) in restricting the use of mobile phones.

Penalties are also one good deterrent.
For instance, people donot pay any heed to 50kmph limit, but the big moolah to be coughed up as penalty acts as a deterrent for them to stick to 50kmph or so!

Hence, if technology can spoil us, it can bring us to basics as well. period.

.. Adding to all good points i would like to mention that we should not sit on bike too while petrol is getting filled.

Technology will never make any one indecent..

Its just that because of technology once insaneness and indecency can be seen

Trust me on this , I travel atleast 10 times a year and this happens at least once on the flight.

But the problem is you can't do anything , I have tried to ask people politely but everybody who travel thru air think they are elite and rules don't apply to them.

^^ This is absolutely true. I myself have been in a Jet Flight from Bangalore to Delhi once where a person was asked to disembark after he refused to switch off his blackberry. Notice I say blackberry.

On the flipside, I was disallowed to even listen to music in Offline/Flight mode on a JetLite flight in cruise altitude.

it is quite possible that the bike was not being ridden by the owner but by his friend/relative.

what can be done is reporting such incidents on the forum, ( detailing the
model and registration no) . If the bike is known to any member then
the rule breaking member can be intimated.

Anyways, it was a bad thing what the guy did. It is bad to see how people don't respect few basic rules around. Now, I don't believe that mobiles can cause fire at a Petrol Bunk. But, still it is better to stick to rules. You can talk later too. Why you have to do that on the petrol bunk.

When some one says this, sometimes I'm only sad that if it DOES happen to them, I cant say 'I told you so'. Not to mention the other innocent lives that might have been affected.

                                Just kidding bro.

No offense, but you just have to realize that rules are there for some reason. Why take the risk, especially when there are other lives involved? The beginning of biking wisdom is when you understand what those underlying reasons behind the rules are, and make the right choice.
