There is no issue here. There is no copyright violation. The copyrights belong to the newspaper photographer since it was YOU who needed publicity.
BUT, you go to Pantaloons and you can do either of two things:
1. Blast the off and say that NOW is suffering a great deal of damage due to the visible logo
2. Be smart and contact the Pantaloons brand manager and tell him its your group there and you would like to work with Pantaloons. If he refuses go to option 1 and threaten with legal action.
Case closed.

sunny, i am seeing a solicitor tomorrow here to take a legal advice from him regarding this, as one of my mate says that we indeed have a strong case against the company as they have been making money on someone else work.Originally posted by Sunny View PostThere is no issue here. And regarding that image being the property of Mr. Farzan (the reporter/photographer who shot it), we just had a word with him and he said that he has not given any photos of ours to pantaloons ever, so the company has definitely "stolen" his work and our royalty. lets see how things go once I talk to my solicitor.
thanks for telling the exact name of the label. If it's a separate brand from pantaloons, is pantaloons still eligible for a notice? If you can approach the company with some serious attitude, they'll definitely consider your objection and you may get some compensation. Time to make some great bucks along with awesome free publicity. If however they don't compensate you, that pic is still yours. :-)

Well looks like you got a case on your hands. Since they did not seek for the copyright permission either from you or the photographers i am sure you guys are in a strong position. Ask them for a deal or something and if you are filing a case then get this thread trashed.sigpic
