    Hi guys,
    Similar topic http://xbhp.com/forum/topic.bike?TOPIC_ID=6417
    I own a Sigma Bike Computer (BC1600)
or also called as a Cyclometer. This is basically used by bicycle riders, but since it has a caliberation upto 199kph, we can use it on our bikes.
    Functions
    1) Current Speed
    2) Average Speed
    3) Average Speed & Current Speed Comparison (indicates whether current speed is lower, same or higher than the avg speed)
    4) Max Speed
    5) Ride Time
    6) Odometer
    7) Dual Bike Memory
    8) Trip Up/Down
    9) Clock

    It consists of
    1) a magnet which is fitted on the spokes/alloys
    2) a sensor/pick up
    3) a holder
    4) the bike computer

    Fitting:
Very easy to fix up. The magnet is fixed on the alloys ( I lost my magnet and I have used one from a speaker now and it works fine).
The sensor is fixed on the fork using a elastic band.
The holder can be fitted on the handle bar and the wire to the senser routed on the fork.
The computer can be fitted and easily removed since it fits using a push and turn lock mechanism (somthing like a normal bulb)

I have done lots of trips - nearly 15000kms on it.
I usually cover it with a plastic sheet in heavy rains.

Definitely worth for its price 1200/-

Battery should last for 2-3 years

Disadvantage: No LCD back light in this model, difficult to see in the night. This can be solved by fixing an LED with a battery.

This is actually made for Cycles, but since our bikes go only to less than 200kph, its enough for us

I think I am in big trouble, I ordered for 2 CatEye's 30$ each and I just read in http://www.rattlebars.com/vtx/sigma.html that all others have only caliberation upto 75MPH (120kph)

hey ... how do u tell computer that one revolution of wheel is xxx cm..
as different wheel has different circumference.. (i think the computer counts rpm x circumference= distace /min= xzy...km/hr..)..
otherwise bike with the smaller wheel would have higer speed reading... as higher rpm of wheels for same speed..
