As far as i know you can hook up the Sony Ericsson's walkman portable speakers, that do not require an external power supply.

        hey..

        it definitely is possible.

Infact even with the existing battery. But the practicality issue and obviously sounding like a auto rickshaw. holds back a lot.

Your main concern would be to have waterproof setup with proper fuse's in place.

The battery draining will ofcourse be a problem if you play it long without the engine on. Bigger the speakers the faster the draining. and the smaller the speakers the less fun it is..

Again charging points have also been done before . dont remember the name of the guy.

U can put them in your side vents. They'll look quite cool over there.

The simple way is to buy a Honda Goldwing it's comes with a 6 CD changer unit onboard... ha ha ha just kidding my friend. But your query is impractical, c'mon you live in India there are thieves all over looking for a chance to steal anything they can lay their hands on. It's not that there are no thieves outside the country but still.

I've seen a guy who had done this on his bullet. But it's not advisable for bikes.

honestly it would be more of a show off thing than anything. because with the wind roar and the helmet, you can exactly appreciate the music or anything. earphones are the solution, but keep volume low enough for traffic.

It's very much possible.. I did it on my Kinetic Nova, few years back. It Included two speakers and hooked to small 128MB MP3 Player. Intially tried with Portable CD MAN( Those were the days), but track skipping was a major problem.

There are two problems to it, waterproofing the Speakers and distortion of sound.

But my second experiment was better.. hooking small speakers in the helmet.

cd changers, casset players are more problematic if you want to fit them in bikes. i have seen people fitting phillips car casset player just over the meter console of bullet with 2 speakers mounted on both side panniers.
also i have seen a player+2 speakers in one panniers in cd 100s,so any thing is possible.
major problems will be water proofing and theft.
                      my suggestion s are...
GO WITH A MP3 PLAYER,IT CAN BE A PHONE OR IPOD OR WALKMAN-AS U CAN TAKE IT AWAY WITH U WHEN U WANT+SPACE SAVING,CAN BE EASILY MOUNTED ON hADLE BARS OR TANK OR SPEEDO CONSOLE.U CAN POWER IT UP FROM A 12 VOLT ADAPTER WHICH WILL BE CONNECTED TO UR P 220 S BATTERY. DRAWS A LITTTLLLLLE AMOUNT OF POWER SO NO DAMAGE TO UR BAT,TRUST ME.

FOR SPEAKERS U CAN GO AMPLIFIED OR NON AMPLIFIED SETUP,LET ME XPLAIN.
IF U USE AMPLIFICATION IT WILL USE A POWER OF UR BIKES BAT TO AMPLIFY THE SOUND SO U CAN TURN UP THE VOLUME IF YOU WANT.
NON AMPLIFIED SPEAKERS WILL BE USING NO POWER AND THESE SPEAKERS WILL RUN DIRECTLY FROM UR DEVICE BUT VOLUME WILL BE MUCH LESS,

I SUGGEST U GO WITH A 2 SPEAKER amplified system.
buy any cheap 2.0 speakers, not very big which is having 12 volt supply.open the speakers and place them below the front visor directing outwords .give the power from battery via a switch and mount the audio in cable 3.5mm stereo to the player of yours and voila. trust me it wont suck much power and ur problems will be solved.

if u have any quaries then mail me at [email protected] i will be happy to help u.

but what about battery issues guys...220 dysi has 9ah battery and if i keep a 100 watt speakers wich i guess wont be enough then maybe i should change the coils too...if i keep an extra battery then the charging level of both batteries will be slow...

Battery drain is not an issue, especially during day(headlamp off). You can try buying a good set of creative speakers, with a possibility of even a separate woofer. Lookout for small form factor speakers though.
