i too ride a bullet machismo nd liv in cantonment area i feel no diference- i feel my thumper 99 model is any day better than a 2003
army bullet bcoz they maintain them poorly

I've noticed that army Enfield bullets sound like helicopters. Very loud and very poorly maintained.

I've seen lots of bullets struggling to get going from rest with two soldiers on board. Might be due to the soldier's riding (in)ability though and nothing to do with the bike.

the military bullets are 500 ccs..
they are designed to run on ver low octane fuel..
most of them will run even on kerosene and a little petrol//
this leads to all the difference in sound..
@hafeexius:: these guys start off in 2nd or 3rd gear..so

well i knw a guy who has a military bullet which was owned by his dad.its a 50yr old bike and it still runs man.and d best part of it is tat it has a single cylinder with 2 pistons.nw i hv never herad about such a engine before.i'll try nd get more info about it and post it over here with the pics soon.

Satya : military Bullets are 350s . most are older 70's 80s mpodels with heavy cranks and all , modern Bullets ( if Bullets can be called modern ! ) are lighter to the tune of almost 15-20kgs . Army Bulls average 27-28 usually and not very well maintained ( same goes for our MiGs , so what's a Bullet ? )

All the bulls which are after 85 have lighter cranks thats around 8kg and the oldies have heavier cranks thats about 12kg as far as my Knowledge The weight of the crank plays a major role in a bulls thump

i got a comprehensive information about why ???

one of the points is already mentioned my opium_abuse about the heavier crank.

the other key feature of these military bullets is they cover atleast 200 -300 km atleast everyday, and these bikes are 15-20 years old. and as every thumper knows bulllet sounds better as the age. so the bikes we see have completed 2 lakhs + kms..

and about da maintanence.. military guys are very particular about da maintanence i.e, these are very well maintained bikes.

maybe the pride of being serving the country flows in the ARMY BULLETS.......

......i've never been on a ARMY bullet.But i do have a Govt Std BULLET.
