I've had a go on the RD only once, but even that short burst of a few kilometers made me feel that I'm riding a luna once I got back onto my 220.

At a Yamaha event in my city, I had to request & beg a person, to let me a ride at an almost scrap condition RD... Well, Leave request and beg, "pester" would be more like it...
Ultimately, All I could get was a pillion ride. It was nostalgic looking at the RD, those straight seats, commuter position, round RVM's, etc...
Damn, what performance man! P220 which I have ridden myself, could never come close to RD ... It had killer acceleration.
He went through high revving, but only the first 2 gears or so, before I said something like, "This much slow will be enough for me, Sir"

Worth mentioning ironic fact, is that while I was wearing a helmet, but the rider was not...
