Its only my thinking....but the karizma and unicorn horns are the best amongst all the bikes especially for daily purposes.I think HERO HONDA=HONDA always make the right bikes,their bikes are especially meant for overall less noise.(i am sure bajaj owners really want to kill me).It is sure that honda bikes are sophisticated in all aspects from engine to the loudness of the horns unlike the bajaj bikes which are TIN! TIN! TI! DIN!(OVERALL VERY LOUD FROM ENGINE TO IRRITATING HORNS)

(From a Bajaj owner) It is because of that sophisticated, quiet horns that most HH / H riders try to fit aftermarket loud, abusive and irritating horns. Bajaj solves the problem by giving a good horn as stock!

Louder horns are required for faster vehicles including bikes, imagine u r overtaking a 40ft trailer, how will u make the driver aware of ur presense other than flashing? And daytime flashing wont get the desired effect too. So louder horns are required but it has to be used very judiciously. Even some guys will go for the louder horns with melody makers will drive the others mad, may be that these guys are enjoying the panic actions at others cost.

I am using a Roots vibrasonic on my p150 because louder horns will give me more confidence while overtaking. But I never irritate anyone, and some times it can be ur life saver too,belive me there are chances while overtaking. Or another example of stoping at a signal behind of a truck and its rolling back without knowing the driver, what will u do with a puny horn? Can u shout? Even with a full face head gear?

So what I will suggest is use it very judiciously, Its very common in our roads very few are bothered to follow the rules and forget about the horns what about the light dipping? Thats the most dangerous thing and have to be educated. There's no point in giving any award to any as its a must when its needed. I would like to know which bike and which horn the creator is using.

Many time i see some death grippers(newbie) running their bikes or scooters at some speed of above 70 km/hr(make their both indicators working at the same time and thousands of diwali lights),waving around the crowd making snakes like images and continuously sounding horns.They look like they are saying to the crowd that get away from me i am committing suicide or the two wheeler ambulance is coming.I dont know why they do so.........to show off.They are surely idiots of Nth level.

Basically it all comes down to the rider. Louder horns are good on the highways and the stock horns are good for the city use. People should be taught the ill effects of useless and meaningless honking. But it won't be of much use either as people smoke even when they know its not good. Same will be the case with the honking awareness.

Honestly, these guys are best ignored, don't feed the trolls.

As for horns, judicious use of a decently loud horn I can tolerate. However, whenever I go out on the streets I hear people using their horn continuously, even when there's no one in sight! This isn't about horns, this is about the attitude of people. Don't blame the manufacturers of loud horns or the guys that fit them. It's just the lack of common sense that's showing here.

I am really sorry to the bajaj owners if mistakenly i hurts your sentiments but i only want to say that if a revolution in a particular thing started then it started,means remember the times of old bikes(even bajaj bikes the revolution starter w.r.t. horns)when there is only small horns come fitted with the bike and i dont think the accident rate decrease because of those horns at any case .

Use of nonsensical types of aftermarket horns is one thing, & using horns without thinking is another..
I'm tired of people who honk at signals.. Some idiots honk immediately after coming to a halt, like as if to announce "I'm here".. Give them a stare, is all one can do..
& then there are others, who begin honking as soon as the signal turns green, although they may be some 5-10 rows behind.. As if the ones in front are in no hurry to exit the signal before it turns red again, & are waiting to pitch a tent there..

Why do we road users behave so irresponsibly.. Not giving a damn to other fellow road-users.. Things must change, & we must make the beginning..

Anyway , maybe the authorities should device some horn gadget...something like 'Pay-Per-Beep'. Once all beeps is exhausted, owners can recharge them again by paying certain amount like prepaid mobile phones .

Imagine - Some kind of gadget which disables Horns in NO HORN Areas....fixed in Signals tooo will be a good option...????

But few Dumpy Well Educated Guys....who all has the habit of using Headphones while driving in the middle of road.....Wont we need Loud Horns at that time???
Crappy Road Dogs, Cows and Buffaloes crossing roads without mind of the Traffic dont we need Loud Horns at that time ?
Sizzling College Beauties thinking of going for a Cat walk Ramp in the Zebra crossings doesnt bother of the Signals and not to menton with thier Mobiles Plugged in - Dont we need Loud Horns at that time??
There is no Harm in using any kind of horns - i would even recommend the Devil Shout Horns....which are very effiective for the Crowd....
But it all depends on how you use it and where you use it.....
