guys wanted to know has anyone got the ECU and highlift cams for the bike
some one said ke a racing ECU will burn the valves and is not adviced
what about high lift cams guys
if i only fit cams without an ECU there is no use i guess
Racing ECU does two things I guess

          - Removes rev limiter

          - Increases the amount of fuel + air to the engine and for this you will need the new camshaft to open up the valves further. If you just take the camshaft without the ECU, same amount of fuel will be injected even though the cam is letting the valves get more lift. No use na..

caz i asked a few knowledgeble people who do my imported bikes
they said ke it will burn ur engine racing ecu is only sutaible for the track and not for normal usage

The ECU being supplied as an aftermarket addon by Yamaha (as a part of the Daytona performance kit) will not damage the R15 engine. At least I dont think so.

even i thought so buddy (TnT) but the ECU provided is only for racing use
so not ment for daily usage thats wat experts are saying at least

u can always use good tuned free flow and octane booster and polish and grind the valves then use scale and increase the inlet and outlet ratio a bit and use good petrol than is some really affordable mods

and malcolmk if ur having r15 then plz stop damaging ur engine by uning k&n man our fi is non programable or adaptable so the mixture runs lean and the a/f ratio gets fked up along with engine damage

Y r u not going in for the company supplied mod kit????

since u r looking for lotsa power , the ecu from the r 15 upgrade kit is a good choice..

also with the kit, u will get a fit and forget type of ecu with the yamaha engineers testing every bit of the controller..

for any aftermarket controller, u will have to check the suitability of the ecu and that just trial and error so it will be better if u go in for the company ecu....

as for the cost, except the ecu and the free flow tuned exhaust, u can dump all the other things and these 2 will cost around 20000bucks...

also just check if the r15 has a exhaust oxygen sensor.... if it has, then the fitting of the k&n is also not a problem cos then the ecu will compensate for the higher amount of air automatically..

enjoiii dude.. but remember, POWER IS NOTHING WITHOUT CONTROLL so remember to upgrade ur tyres also.....
