well power won't be effected with this as after half throttle the air screw is useless.and only screw setting can't help.need jets and maybe a filter.

one more thing, the pilot jet works till a quarter of throttle.and the pilot jet sucks fuel from the float bowl below it.this is where the air ratio screw kicks in.so using this screw and thinking of performence won't do.i was adviced by ron to stop bothering bout it.then i went in deapth and now don't bother.but try to tighten the screw and the rpm should build,if not pilot jet is small.and when u twist the throttle the bike should smoothly gain rpm and shift to main jet.i got this understanding from rddreams only and now follow this to benefits.we have a 4 st tech. exchange in rddreams.so interested people can always register there.it will definately benefit u guys.and so will knowing the engine.and u can post in 4st tech.section and we all can share what we can.

            hi rajnish...
u sure hav ur theory right....but trust me jetting is not as simple as u think......its requires quite a bit of understanding of how things work....my pulsar is running jets u wont beleive and its revs all the way to 12500 rpm.....which i dont think a stock pulsar does.....and i hav done it all myself......jetting is a lots of patience understanding and a lil black magic

dear rash i've been playing with jets since 96 when i got my first yamaha 350.so it's like some time now.plus my fellow rd owners and some excellent guidence by ron always helps.true jetting is not child's play but with commen sense and observation it will reach spot on.with pulser u can understand it is easier as u have 1 carb instead of 2 as in rd.so no worries of syncronizing 2 carbs and double work of opening them.and i always say it's no magic u have to really do some observations.and i think starting with rich mixture for new jets and then going leaner is the best way around it.and i know how my rd works lol.so i find it ok.

sure thing buddy and a good news is tht ron is taking up 4 st tuning on a cbzee.so we will benefit from the findings.-rash buddy i gather this is ur bikes configuration 26 mm carb,97.5 main 12.5 pilot,16 t front sporcket.do u seriously believe ur bike is making more power after totally starving it of fuel lol?and a gain in rpm is no indication of more power.buddy just by the smaller carb with even smaller jets on a already restricted bike is beyond me,though i admit 4 st r not my strong point but here i am just using some basics i gathered.this combined with a bigger sporcket is sure not sounding good.
