been using the FFE since January. No cop trouble here in Kolkata as of now. But would suggest you to back off the throttle near signals etc, and not rip unnecessarily in residential areas. Rideability definetly improves with the FFE.

Got Joel'd ! Been riding with the FFE for last two days and have to say, why didn't I get this earlier ! Here's a quick pic

Mine is the newer version but somehow it didn't come with the DBkiller. Made the payment last month, and received it after 21 days. Kolkata PBK did the installation job.
But this is definitely recommended. I won't write about the performance/handling improvements as its too early for me to comment on that, but my 3+ year old 220fi feels like new again. Total VFM.
Joel is THE MAN. Thinking about getting the bigbore too.
Only negative thing is the dent on the FFE which I discovered after unpacking
.(Visible in the pic, under the pillion footrest)
Itching for a good long ride now. Have to see how it feels to ride the highways with it.
P.S. - Anyone else in Kolkata riding with a Joel FFE other than svjhonda(r15)? Any cop troubles? Please inform !

Lucky for us Pulsar owner, the FFE looks like the Pulsar Classic exhaust so no question asked.

Was stopped by cops once for DUI check. He stared at my FFE for couple of minutes and let me go without a word.

Well, for about 50 years they have been living with the sound of Bullets... think about it, in the eighties almost every cop bike was either a Bullet or a Rajdoot... so for them it is an acceptable sound from something that was bought by the government for their use... hell, if I recall correctly, the Army dispatch riders had Bullets which use to really create a racket... A neighbor of mine has a Bullet which makes a far far bigger racket then my bike, but my neighbors were taking objection to my bike till I pointed out the Bullet... once that was pointed out, everyone went home...Originally posted by Joel View PostHowever, I must admit that the Bullets are much louder and I wonder why they have a free hand. No cop will stop a bullet which is much louder at a light or a check point. Thats weird!

Have sent you an email from my work email id. Waiting for your reply.Originally posted by Joel View PostDB limits on a stock engine is always set to a certain rpm. I guess its around 45db @ 4500rpm or so (dont quote me accurately on that). This will be 20db or so higher at the same rpm.
There s anyways no performance exhaust system that can ever be built to match the legal limit. It will be a mild trade-off. However, I must admit that the Bullets are much louder and I wonder why they have a free hand. No cop will stop a bullet which is much louder at a light or a check point. Thats weird!

but not a cop magnet if one behaves properly...Keep it within 4k rpm and everything's fine. Have ripped past cops so many times, never got stopped by them. Was even stopped by the cops at night for routine check but they never bothered about the FFE. Probably they are used to their loud BulletsOriginally posted by sunny9830687955 View Postp220 ffe is dam loud and without db killer it will attract cops
but r15 ffe is not that much loud so no need to worry about cops
