@ sajiv- Btw you got some nice cornering pics there. Looking at your lean angle, it seems you were carrying good speed through the corners.Watch my Baby R1 clock 148kmph at http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=cAHbYl...e=channel_page.

thanks man I dont know how much speed I was carrying at that corner. There is a immediate left hander after that corner so not sure abt the exit speed also.Originally posted by SAGARR_46 View Post@ sajiv- Btw you got some nice cornering pics there. Well well, I have something to read now, when I am not codingOriginally posted by SAGARR_46 View PostI strongly recommend this book called "Sport Riding Techniques" by Nick Lenatsch to anyone who is looking to hone his/her cornering skills. I am pretty sure there is a soft copy online which can be downloaded for free as it's a pretty old book. The book surely help me a lot to improve my riding skills.

@ Karthik- It has been a tad difficult to get some time off from work for my first track run. I will need at least a 5 day leave to travel all the way from Pune to Chennai and back.Watch my Baby R1 clock 148kmph at http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=cAHbYl...e=channel_page.

@Killer: Neevu swalpa insight kotbidi, yella sarii hoguttade
This was sometime ago, the thread which practically taught me to corner effectively. Its been sadly converted to a '17" vs 18" showdown' thread
Time to get the thread back on track !
Lemme get the ball rolling.
Bike: Zma on stock rubber.
Location: Nandi hills
Haven't been lucky enough to attend a trackday as yet. My cornering practice is restricted to Nandi and DD hence
Im having trouble tackling hairpins at Nandi. I end up overcooking it unless i don't slow down to a crawl
I don't hang off the bike, however i make a conscious effort to shift a cheek and it works decently enough for all the corners except hairpins.
Killer saar, help maadi !
I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.

There can be quite a lot of reasons for that... ranging from your riding position to the road condition. Don't think so much into it.. just try againOriginally posted by atulaherwar View Postbut i still dnt get it..... my rtr slipped out on the lean way before its lean limit.....damn hw

I do not know what a power slide is on a corner. But if you say that he is using the rear brake then I request you to look a little further and you will notice that in slow motion, the rear wheel is still turning! Could someone explain that please!Originally posted by csgup1 View Postthats more like backing it in using the rear brake. power slide is when the back end starts to slide as you give it power coming out of a turn . a lot of fun but you can highside very easilyThe Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!
