Yes i did, and believe me i saving every penny of my allowance for proper helmet jacket and a decent pair of knee sliders, so that i can really push it to the limit, and cornering on a RTR compared to my 200 was relatively easy, i think it'll (RTR) really shine when on the track,
EDIT: And a little tech help, how do i post these pics here? there was a thread previously here wasn't there?Last edited by EL LOCO DIABLO; 09-24-2008, 04:50 PM.I'm too intelligent to the unintended, and too dumb for the obvious.

@Ken: This is Chennai's Sholavaram track - an abondened air strip. It is the usual place where our drag G2Gs happen.
@Nazreen: I don't see any right cornering pics. I'd want to have a look at how good you would lean on a right curve.
For people like me, right is far more tough than left.

That's the beauty of that place, there's rarely anyone there, but you need to look out for some scale-model RC planes now and thenOriginally posted by ken cool View PostWhoa! Man, your stuff is good. True that bro,,,attack any corner at 3 digit speed and ur in trouble,,speed wobble,,rear wheel sliding,,,and that scary feeling scares the sh*t out of me..but still v1 is a really flickable bike,,if you get a chance try a lap of Rajpur road, mall road near D.U. on ur 180,,im damn sure It'll put a huge grin on ur faceOriginally posted by Aryan View PostI have (had!!) been riding a Classic since the past 6+ years. So, yes, I am more confident on the Classic than on the 'newer' motorbikes. But then, taking corners at 103 km/hr. is not something that a Classic can do.
If I try to 'attack' a corner at that speeds on a Classic, it'll just throw me off the bike. I need to FIGHT with it, even while cornering at 80+km/hr.!! It's like it just doesn't want to corner, and I make the Classic do it, forcefully! No Drugs, No Alcohol, No Gamble,

Hey MG,Originally posted by MG_Biker1806 View Postleaning just for the sake of it is pointless except maybe to look cool, you will still be passed by the other guy whos using correct body position to keep the Bike upright and is on the gas harder through the corner than you are coz he has more contact patch on his tires as a result of keeping the Bike as upright as possible.
I agree with pretty much all of your post except for the above portion. (Maybe it's just the wording)
One definitely wants to preserve lean angle for any unforeseen steering changes. But at any reasonable speed a motorcycle will NOT turn unless it is leaned. It's the physics of the thing.
Keeping it straight upright while turning at any kind of "non-parking lot" speed is just begging for a high side. Essentially because the centrifugal force of a high-speed turn is countered by gravity by leaning the bike into the turn.
A good rider will be able to make the same corner at a lesser lean angle making use of good body positioning and footpeg work. (Keith Code recommends putting weight on the outside peg when leaning into a turn.)
However, some lean is definitely required to turn a two wheeled vehicle. That's why countersteering works so well because you use it to Lean the bike into the turn quicker.
I agree with the essence of your post and the fact that scraping pegs and other parts of a motorcycle is by no means desirable. It just slows down the bike.
To add to the discussion, the bike physically slows down when turning as a side-effect of 'Coning' (Look it up. Essentially, the contact ring becomes smaller and has the same effect as a change in gear ratio). So one has to roll on the throttle and accelerate while leaning just to maintain speed.Last edited by Vivek; 09-24-2008, 11:35 PM.It has been established that everyone on the internet is a well-hung, millionaire Ninja
