  • Easiest RAM air induction for pulsar.

Hi guys, there is a lot of crap going around in the forum since few days and there is no informative post.

    So here it goes.

Its about RAM induction in pulsar.

I tried every thing from a bottle setup to a simple pipe protuding out.

The simplest and the most effective method is to turn the air intake under the seat towards front.

Take out the intake rubber tube under the seat. (it will come out easily as it is stuck by an adhesive.) fix it back facing towards front. (use feviquick or elfi). Turn the air screw 180 degrees anticlock wise and you are done.

Youll feel the difference only once the bike is moving at a good speed around 60-70kph. The faster you go, more air is pushed in.

hi venkatesh...i am not convinced entirely.....
even i hav tried a really serious ram thing.......but what works best is this....remove the rubber intake....dont put it back.....
cut a 50mm dia hole in the side cover....stick a 3inch 50mm pvc pipe in it....
    and dump the stock carb...get a fiero 26mm carb....and a 16 inch front sprocket.....let the main jet stay...its 97.5 ..in comparison to the stock pulsar 115 jet...change the pilot to a 15 ..fiero original is 12.5 and works good....but a 15 will help a lil more .....
drill holes in the clutch basket......
take a simple water filter from filt-well and plug it to the crank case vent...and seal off the hole of the vent where it meets the airbox..(this mod hasnt been studied long enuf by me)
    results...85 kmph in 2nd gear...105 in third...
max rpm increases from 9000 to 12000....not in top gear though....
not enuf torque....all this mods cost within 1200 bucks......and are worth it......
as to why a smaller carb works better than the stock 29mm..well i think ur smart wnuf to figure out.....also think how a smaller jet is porviding more power......
by chance if u dont figure it out......ask ron...
or me ..i think i'll convince u on both issues.....

the ram air induction helps any bike after a certain rpm only.is more helpful in multi cylinders.yes smaller carbs help out in low rpm power but with rise in rpm u need better gas flow and small carb can't keep upto the engine suction.having a bigger pilot jet helps in low end but rash do u feel the transit to the main will be smooth if they r not matched properly?and the holes will help in clutch basket due to better oil flow as the clutch is a wet clutch system.

I made some changes in the ram induction of my p150 and believe it or not , when i rode the bike alone without the pillion it hardly touched 100 on the speedometer but when i rode the bike with a pillion it touched 112....... CRAZY no!!!!!!! It is not possible but how it happened????

I guess the pillion was giving an air propulsion effect to the bike by farting with a lot of force. he he....

Dont talk about modifications. You know nothing about it. I had a good setup which you ruined. Now no mods. Ill try to bring my bike back to its original shape. (stock)
